Hi all, staring 5:2 today to get to my goal. Been dieting all my adult life and finally got stuck in properly end of December, going from 13st 8lbs to 9st 12lbs on sat. Have lost 6lbs in the month if September bringing in exercise and low carbing but I know I can't avoid carbs forever. Youngest sons birthday saw me eating carbs on sat and continued yesterday so definitely out of ketosis, ready to commence the final stage. Goal is 9st 3lbs. Mondays and Wednesdays will be my fasting days. Boiled egg and black coffee for breakfast. Any advice greatly appreciated :) xxx
 
So boiled egg and black coffee for breakfast = 75kcals, m&s sushi snack pack, salt n vinegar snack a jacks and 500mls perfectly clear strawberry still water =234kcals and 1 slice ww bread toasted, with 150g baby button mushrooms fried in a touch of water ( no oil ) with a tip of a tsp of very lazy garlic along with 1/2 bag rocket and 5 cherry tomatoes = 117kcals. Will just be drinking green tea now... Total kcals first fasting day is 436kcals xxx

Doesn't look the most appetising tea but was tasty and satisfying xxx
 
Mmmmm having a fruit smoothie! 80g frozen berries, with 100g low fat Greek yoghurt and 100mls skimmed milk... Comes in at 122kcals xxx thanks for the welcome caz! Today isn't a restricted day but I'm using this to incorporate healthy carbs too and thanks happykitten, I'm completely new to 5:2 lol.. I completed yesterday on 1060 kcals ( unrestricted day ) and today on 506kcals ( oops over by a smidge) I had 1 slice ww toast with 18g jam, lunch was ww soup ( carrot n lentil) and a pack of whisps and tea was my barenaked noodle soup with spring onion 70g chicken and a rice cake... Feeling very satisfied! Weigh in days will be Fridays as its not too close to the fasting days which could show a false loss. My 138kcal soup...

Finished today ( unrestricted ) on 959 kcals plus done 2 lots of tae bo! One this morning and another in the evening! Just an at home DVD but I love it! Mini challenge is twice daily for 1 month! Excluding sat as I'm in Edinburgh at a wedding and staying with the inlaws! I've already told hubby's mum to get me ww bread and good for you meal lol... Can't take my DVD and banish them from the living room too lol xxx
 
I'm really enjoying the ww bread, satisfying and at 71kcals a slice perfect for fasting and non fasting days :) been in Edinburgh for a wedding and was still very good foodwise but drink? I have no idea how many kcals were consumed? Fasting today, 1 slice ww bread with 18g conserve 116kcals total and lunch ww chicken noodle soup and chilli snack a jacks total 142kcals! 2 litres water consumed :) feeling happy and healthy :) xxx

Tea was 1 slice whole grain ww toast with 50g iceberg lettuce, 1 salad tomato, 50g prawns mixed with 30g light mayo, 20g tomato purée ( was too much ) and a dash of paprika to make a Marie Rose sauce... Was gorgeous and the whole lot came in at 210kcals! Have had 2 black coffees plus 2.5litres water plus 2 large green teas! Total cals for today 468! Have tae bo'd this morning and evening! Day 1/30 challenge done! Xxx
 
Breakfast 240kcals 2 slices ww toast with 36g jam and black coffee,Lunch 1 tin ww chicken noodle soup, 1 packet whisps and 1 choc rice cake. Came in at 234kcals Tea was a ww granary bread sandwich with my prawn Marie Rose sauce and lettuce and another pack of whisps. I've tae bo'd this morning before work and again this evening, 2 litres water, 2 cups black coffee and 2 large mugs of green tea and a rice cake to snack on. Tea was 421 kcals.. Total for today is 980kcals feeling good. 2nd fast day tomorrow! :) xxx

Doing really well so far :) Tho are you eating enough on non-fast days?? I'd be starving if I stuck to under 1000kcal each day, even without the fasts!

Thanks, I feel after just coming off a vlcd at 600kcals per day that 1000 feels like a feast lol. Definitely not feeling hungry at all but if I did I'd defo up it. These last 9lbs will come off lol xxx
 
So today is a fast day yippee... Having a coffee just now then will tae bo... Off tomorrow until Sunday and am going to weigh on Friday... Tae bo'd and had my 1slice ww toast with jam 120kcals for breakfast, Ww chicken noodle soup, 1 pack salt n vinegar snack a jacks plus 1 can Pepsi max... Lunch total 141kcals, Had 2 servings of knorr super chicken noodle soup at 43kcals each and 1 slice granary ww bread at 75kcals. Total for tea 166kcals total for day 422kcals. Plus another tae bo workout. Today has been a successful day xxx

Ended on 1457kcals yesterday which I know is Gone but after a 500kcals fast day it felt loads lol!! Finally weighed in at 9st 13lbs this morning... 1lb up from coming off low carb to a naughty weekend then fasting. I'm hoping it was the glycogen regain then slowly coming off. At least I know this is true weight and not ketosis weight. Hope everyone has a super skinny day xxx
 
1/2lb up this morning which I'm okay with, have tae bo'd this morning and feel better, think I'm still in vlcd mode when my kcals are up I expect a huge gain but of course it's not as I'm not in ketosis anymore. Learning curve for me that. Fasting today :) hope you all have a great day xxx
 
Successful fasting day yesterday! 496kcals plus 2 bouts of tae bo ( I love tae bo ) resulted in 9st 12.3/4lbs this morning. Feeling good! I've only lost 5.1/4lbs in the last 7 weeks but have not missed a day of exercise so this is what I have to remember. I've taken measurements at the start of the exercise journey and will retake them after this 30day tae bo challenge I've set myself. Currently on day 7! Hope you all have a great day! I'm waiting on hubby waking up so I can tae bo lol. Housework done and washing on :) xxx

Sooo tae bo'd twice so that's 7/30 day challenge complete! 2 slices ww bread toasted with 36g jam, pck salt n vinegar snack a jacks, small handful frazzles, 1 digestive, matchbox size chicken, loads broccoli, cauliflower and Brussels, small bit peas and carrots, 1 small aunt Bessie's honey roasted parsnip, 1/4 roast potato, 1 aunt Bessie's Yorkshire pudding and copious black coffee and green tea... Oh and 1 cup Boullion... Sitting down to a DVD with the family xxx 1036kcals for the day xxx
