    New to fasting

    Hello everyone

    tried so many different diets and healthy eating plans. Calorie counting is the only thing that has actually worked for me. I came traveling to Australia 6 months and have gained a stone and have another 6 months to go. So I thought I'd give 5:2 a go as it has a lot to do with calorie control.

    just a few questions:

    on the fast days can you fast between any time as long as it's within a 24 hour period? As I work nights so I could work it around that?

    for females is it 500 calories?

    lastly on the feast days do you still eat healthy and control your calories??

    Hello, im quite new too, so not 100% sure about the 24hr fasting thing. Yes you are supposed to have 500cals for a girl and the other 5 days your are supposed to eat your maintain calories for your weigh. It tells you what this is on the 5:2 website, depends how much u weigh and your excercise levels etc. Its normally 2000 for an average weight women. But id check it out.

    I don't think this is a quick fix diet, thinks its supposed to be about 1lb a week cos your cutting out 3000cals a week. But them its a diet you can do whilst still enjoying foods you like and not overly xal counting on down days. Good luck
