New starter!

Hi all

Ive decided to give the 5:2 diet a go. Ive been doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred dvd and some of the girls have recommended this diet. I am not overweight, however I have a couple of stubborn fatty deposits on my hips/thighs and bum that wont shift. Im not weighing myself I am just going by how i look and feel. I think this diet will be good for me and I can manage long periods of time without food, but I cannot stick to a diet everyday, Im quite social and the weekends and need that allowance. My job is very physical so i am worried about doing it on work days, but I guess it will be trial and error. Im going to keep a log on here and hopefully find some inspiration from you guys!
 
Today was a "feast day" But ive eaten 852 calories according to MFP so far, Will have a snack once my daughters in bed no doubt.

Tomorrow is a Fast day, I plan on eating a packet of waitrose lemon and herb chicken pieces for lunch - 189 cals

Dinner will be a WW lasagne at 262 cals

Total 451 calories.
 
Sounds like you're doing well and plan for tomorrow sounds good :) I just started today with my first fast and it has been ok! Good luck x
 
Well done! What did you eat? Did you do it on a work day? I can go all day at home without being bothered about food, but at work im FAMISHED!
 
I'm the opposite I find it easier at work except when people bring cakes in :-/

I had:
Danio blueberry yoghurt
Ww tomato soup
Alpen/Special K bar hazelnut and almond
Small tin of spaghetti hoops
Apple

Looking forward to tomorrow so I can eeeeat ha ha
 
That doesn't sound too bad and those are my favourite yogurts! I think I may struggle at work because i work at Waitrose, picking other peoples shopping....it's probably going to be torture lol
 
Day 1 of the fast today. Have just watched Michael mosleys film eat, fast and live longer online. Very encouraging and interesting, the health benefits of intermittent fasting are amazing!


so far all I've had today is a packet of cooked chicken at 156 calories, I've done a full days work and have just served my family their dinner. I feel fine. Yes I'm hungry but it comes in waves rather than getting worse. Waiting for my Iceland delivery then I'll have my Ww ready meal. May even save it until my daughters in bed for in front of the telly. I think I can do this! :)
 
another note i wanted to make - ive burnt 845 cals through exercise today, so my body is actually in a deficit of -689 cals, is this okay??
 
Bad bad day today calorie wise. It wasn't a fast day and I didn't go crazy or anything, I just decided to make my own version of something I usually have in a restaurant. Popped it all into my fitness pal (after eating!) and my portion of dinner alone was 1100 calories! Fast day tomorrow - looking forward to it. We're out for a curry and drinks on Friday night so will take it easy Friday day.
