Hi gang, Up until recently I haven't been using any spices in my soups as my booklet says "herbs, tabasco sauce, pepper and a pinch of salt" with no mention of spices. A few of you have mentioned using them in your recipes Dumb questions: Are they only allowed in AAM week? If not, are all spices allowed? I am a keen cook and use a lot of herbs and spices usually so wondered what I was allowed to use regularly. I've just bought some chipotle chilli powder (mexican smoked chilli) which I reckon will go nicely with the chicken soup!!! I've also been adding Garam Masala to veg and chicken soups, it is particularly nice as its a spice mix that is traditionally added at the end of cooking. I found some of the other spices I've tried haven't been as successful - eg cumin - tastes better when its been cooked out and in my soup just fell to the bottom of the cup rather than mixing in!!! Any suggestions welcome please!!! Carol x |

I mailed w8 to ask about the cinnamon in the sweet shakes and the reply I got back said yes and no at the same time, so was no further forward! I'm still using them! I guess it depends if they kick you out of ketosis, but then other reports say chilli/cinnamon etc can help weightloss, so it's all good in my opinion! x |
