Diet: Lipotrim
lipobind

This is not for me but I thought it might be beneficial to anybody looking - I saw an ad for a new slimming tablet by boots Lipobind. Here is an article I found on it and also 2 reviews

LIPObind £24.95 for 60 tablets, available from Julian Graves, Goldshield Healthcare and LIPObind
MAIN INGREDIENT: LIPObind CLAIMS: 'LIPObind is a patented fibre complex of natural and organic source and is clinically proven to bind to dietary fat.
LIPOBind when used in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet and appropriate physical activity is an effective tool for weight management and reduction of excess body weight.'
WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY: 'My concern is the value of the clinical trials carried out on behalf of the maker,' says Lorraine.
'But if it does do what it says, which I couldn't vouch for, it's similar to drugs already used in the NHS that have proven effective in reducing weight by binding to dietary fat - so rather than it being absorbed into the body, it's excreted.'
Nargis says: 'If this is, as the makers imply, a herbal version of the chemical fat binders used in medicines like Xenical, it will help you lose weight, provided you don't abuse it by eating what you like.'
RATING: 8/10

Just saw an advert for Lipobind? What is it? How does it work? Has anyone tried it?

I saw an advert for Lipobind available from boots.

I realise that it is to aid weight loss, but on what mechanism does it work? i.e. does is suppress your appetite? Speed up your metabolism?

Has anyone tried it? What kind of results did you have with it?

Lol, see how many questions I can fit into 5 points :-)

hi, I have been on lipobind for 2 weeks and have lost a total of 8 pounds, which is great as I haven't been dieting at all, next week I start exercising and the weight will fall of quicker, I have also noticed my boobs and tummy is shrinking, it does suppress my appetite, but I still eat a health amount, I have noticed that at dinner, I leave food on my plate which I never used to do, the way it works is that it lines your stomach it contains cactus powder which helps dissolve access fat and is completely free from added chemicals so no after effects, my advice go for it its worth every penny I have put there web page for you to look at.

Asker's Rating:Asker's Comment:Thanks, it seems to be on special offer just now with a fiver off, so I'll go and get some and give it a try. Cheers for the info x
works like xenical
any fat you eat is absorbed by the chemicals in the tablet
then you pooh it out
so you need to avoid to much fat or you can find yourself in bother
and your fist few poohs after taking it are a bit slimy and greasy where you are getting rid of the fat

I like the sound of losing 8lb in 2 weeks. I definately need something to boost my weight loss at the moment but I'm not convinced these would be the answer. Has anyone on here tried these? Are there any side effects?

I dont know hun - It might be worth while doing a bit of research on them. They might work they might not - but they are made from natural ingredients I think and have a similiar effect as xenical which is prescribed from your doctor only.

Maybe go into your local boots and have a talk with them?

Proactol Diet Pills - Best Rated Slimming Pill

26 Sep, 2007 Best Diet Pills to Buy
Proactol Slimming Pills

Proactol created a buzz last year when national newspaper, The Daily Express featured 21 year old Laura Price and her incredible weight loss journey. Laura shed 6 dress sizes and lost over a third of her body weight in just under 8 months. She attributes her slimming success to two factors; a change of diet and Proactol.
Read More Proactol Testimonials Here
Dr Adam Carey, better for known as resident health and nutrition expert from Celebrity Fit Club and Change The Day You Die is a strong believer and advocate of Proactol and its weight mangement benefits.

Doctor Carey, who also advises the England Cricket and Rugby Union teams on nutritional matters says this about Proactol.
“Obesity is becoming a real problem, the nation should adopt a healthier lifestyle. A good diet and exercise are essential. Proactol provides the kick start needed for people who should be taking control of their weight”
What Is Proactol
Proactol is a fat binder (as opposed to fat blockers and fat burners.) Proactol is a 100% natural and 100% organic fibre complex that is extracted from a cactus like plant called Opuntia Ficus Indica. Visit The Proactol Website
How Does Proactol Work
Proactol has three contributing effects. Firstly, the soluble fibres contained in Proactol slows down the digestive process. The second effect is by way of a gel like solution that binds with fat making it too large to be absorbed by the body, allowing it pass naturally through the body. Proactol also contains an appetite suppressing agent that makes the stomach feel fuller for longer.
All three processes work simultaneously and are reported to bind up to 27% of dietary fat intake. So without a change to your diet you can expect a reduction of body fat by just over a quarter. If you are serious about losing weight and decide to work with this slimming supplement and reduce your fat intake by means of a change of eating habit expect an even quicker reduction.
Side Effects Of Proactol
Proactol is completley natural and so does not contain any serious side effects when taken as recommended.

Diet: Reached Target...yipppeee.
Well I've just popped my first couple of pills. I've never taken anything like this before, but these are natural and organic and medically certified so I thought if it doesn't work then all I've done is lose a bit of cash, but not done my body any harm. When you read what it does it does make sense. It is a fat binder. So in theory you take the tablets after your meal and a large percentage of the fat in the meal binds itself to the fibre in the tablet and is not absorbed into the body, but poo'd out!

I'm currently 11 stone 4lbs. I shall eat normally and do no exercise and I'll post honest reports on here every few days. No use us all wasting our money if it doesn't work!! I'll be your guinea pig guys.

I'm really interested to hear how you get on with this. I've heard loads about them but people often post on forums saying they'll update after a while...and they never do!!!

So please....please...please let me know how you get on.

Very best of luck with them.
