Hey Chipster! xxx Thanks for the feedback on the steam mop - the jury seems to be out re laminate - some say yes, some (like you) say no. Will leave it for now.

In the meantime - check out these nom noms on Your Lighter Side - Mascarpone Choconutty Bites | Your Lighter Side

    [QUOTE="ladyfelsham;6652515"]Morning all

Thanks Meg, leg is much better now thanks I've done a bit of online research into the steam mop and it appears you can't use them on laminate flooring?

    Any thoughts?

I use mine on a laminate floor!!!! Maybe I should not?? But when I mop its wet for ages, and when I steam it is dry so quickly!! My laminate is good quality I also use on a hardwood floor, but that's sealed. The tiles are brilliant. Not sure, to be honest I did not really read up on it!! But I have used for at least 6 years and have had no probs

Oh that's really good to know, Meg! I have buckled laminate in my rented flat from a burst central heating pipe, but that was lots of water coming up from underneath.

My laminate has little grooves between each "plank" so I'll check out laminates that lock together more securely for my new place - what do you think of this?

It's one of the cheapest - and I need to go and see it instore - but it looks like it doesn't have any gaps between each bit?

It's a stunning colour, I love the oak rustic colours. Also check out tiles, my friend laid wood effect tiles due to a silly amount of animals living in her house and they are lovely, they so look like wood but very hard wearing!! X

Love the colour not too light or dark, we have a dark oak floor very unforgiving for scratches and dust.

Seen the wood effect tiles and they're brill too x.

Thanks so much for the tip Meg and Busy - I've just ordered a sample of this - Oak Tiles Rustic Wood Wood Effect Tiles 615x205x8mm from Walls and Floors - Leading Tile Specialists - Over 20 Million Tiles In Stock - Sold Per SQM

And I'm guessing a steam mop would be fine on these!

Really nice. I'm into the more rustic look much more than the glam/chic look that's in atm.

Morning, I love the tiles. I have a steam mop and use it on everything and have had no problems. I looked at the sweets, they look scrummy.

Re: Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Like the tiles Susie, don't see why it wouldn't work on them. I guess best thing is to do a patch test when you first use it and wait for like 10 mins and if all ok then go hell for leather!? How's your vaporizer turn out? x

    Afternoon all

Been racing about today, unexpectedly, to meet an Oz friend who is in town earlier than I thought. Had a lovely day, with lunch at Jamie's mmm (I said no to the pasta lol) - I could really get accustomed to being a lady who lunches, it was fab

Jim - it's indoors for me this weekend, the weather's rubbish so I'm starting to clear out books and clothes. What about you?

Toni - I can't get the vaporiser to fit together, need to watch a You Tube video - and get help from lovely Lisa

Right, off to do my Tesco shop xxx

Glad you had a nice lunch. I'm sure once you've done that vaporizer a few times you could do it blindfolded. Good on you! x

Morning Hun x, well done for sticking on plan at lunch, it's always during unexpected things I often slip up.

Just keep at it with the vapour-thingy sure you'll get the hang soon.

    Have a great day x.

    Morning lovelies

Spent lots of time last night googling details about the cruise ship I'll be on in November - it might be quite easy to do l/c because they put the calorie and carb contents on all their menus! Some thoughtful person took a picture of the menu sheet each day and posted them Plus yummy looking omelettes for breakfast (step AWAY from the pastries, Susie!) and I should be OK. My biggest problem is buffet eating - I overeat and it's all the wrong stuff, sigh. Then off to Italy, the land of pasta oh dear oh dear, I don't think my willpower will be up to it

Horrible cold yet humid rainy and hazy day here, so am on my second cup of tea before I start going through my books. Or maybe I'll clean up the kitchen before Mr Tesco gets here.

Menu today - I really don't know, might have a bacon and cheese omelette for brunch, and might do cabbage meatloaf for dins.
