Lol so first day didn't go so well due to a series of unexpected events! So this meant I couldn't get to the supermarket and stock up, I am not deterred however as it gave me time to read through more fab threads on here! Please bear/bare(?) with me, no sure when I'll get to the supermarket hopefully tomorrow night x
 
Looking forward to going shopping tonight. I'm absolutely starving looking at all the yummy dishes people have made on facebook! I've got my shopping list ready, going swimming tonight and then straight on to the supermarket.:D Hope everyone has a great weekend
 
Well done on keeping focused - you're doing the right thing by getting the house in order and then focusing on it.

Have fun with all the recipes, and read through peoples' diaries - when we're not discussing periods (totm), toilet habits (park) or assorted personal issues, there are some truly lush menus there :D

Finally went shopping! Woohoo! Got some goodies to get me started, I feel a bit out of my depth though because I'm so used to doing plans that I know inside out like slimming world and ww but that's a good thing because those plans haven't worked for me, even though it's taken me so long to get myself sorted to start I still wanted to keep updating here to keep me focused - thanks for the support guys, much appreciated x

I think it might help you to log everything that you eat, we can all have a look at your food and throw our penny's worth in! I felt exactly the same as you when I first followed this way of eating, couldn't get my head round not eating low fat but stick with it , it definitely works and is a delicious way of eating food.
Remember to drink lots of water and eat green leafy veg, good luck :)
 
So day 1 under my belt, not too bad but need more prep for snacks

B: Bacon
LC Sausage
25g cheese
L: omelette with spinach (thanks for the tip!) and cheese
D: chicken breast
Salad
Hellmans mayo

S: cheese and ham fried

2 coffees
6 glasses of water

Will investigate some sweet & savoury snacks for tomorrow
 
Food sounds lovely and tasty, I find snacks on induction can be bit tricky as I don't eat meat, I tend to take mini cheeses to work or , hard boiled eggs or celery with peanut butter ( not induction) but you could have meat, pepperoni, salami, pork scratchings, not many sweet options on induction though.
For a treat I have rhubarb ( as technically it's not a fruit) with cream.... Delicious!
 
Day 2, nearly done!
B: bacon & lc sausage
L: Boursin & Ham Salad
D: Mince, egg & cheese, fried & served with salad
Cup of coffee and lots of water

Might have something else tonight for a snack - I like the idea of rhubarb and cream, have also heard if you mix double cream with a diet drink it tastes like an ice cream float, anyone tried it?
Does anyone use the bars & shakes, I wasn't thinking of using them but my brother gave me some from his supply, what's your thoughts?
 
Well done on day 2 not sure if rhubarb allowed on induction. Many say stay away from the bars but I find them handy if I'm running late and dont fancy breakfast till later but make sure you get the ones ok for iinduction. Some say that they stall and are frankenfoods but tbh I'm.not a fast loser anyway

i've never had a problem with the bars either - although my palette has changed now and I find I don't like the taste.

they do apparently stall some people though. Maybe give them a go but cut them out if you don't lose as much as you hoped x
 
I personally recommend you avoid the bars in induction. If have to have then use as your weekend treat instead. Best thing about Atkins is changing your taste buds to yummy new foods:) also they stall many so not worth it.....
 
I'll maybe just wait until I've at least got through my first week and see how I feel, thanks guys!

Really craved some chocolate today, not because I actually wanted it but I think I miss the feeling of mindlessly shoving it in my gob, is that weird?
 
Food sounds good !
I know the feeling about the chocolate, a square of dark chocolate hits the spot for me!
