Yes me too. I think I managed 5 days off when I first started and still lost tons. Be careful if newly in ketosis as can have a very fast and sudden impact. It's not the same as drinking on VLCD even though both In ketosis - on Atkins you are eating plenty of good healthy food so not on an empty stomach.
However, this is where the combination of calories and hunger get tricky. The extra fuel from alcohol will be burnt first - so you stop burning fat. It's easy to drink a lot of calories in a short go - and although you don't have to count calories on Atkins if you have lots then body still needs to burn them. Finally alcohol makes me hungry so I eat more - and that doesn't even include the willpower reduction side to avoid carbs. Plus day after can continue!
So be very careful and very moderate - only dry wines or non sugar spirits. Avoid the diet drinks that go with too - another trigger and staller
But yes you can lose and live long term low carb with alcohol. My favourites are light French reds (Beaujolais) and rum & soda
