Day 1:

Hello everyone I'm Sea. Thought I would introduce myself to help keep me motivated on day one. :)

I've done Atkins before several years ago and lost around 3 stone. Last year I got into a serious relationship and well the romantic dinners for two have done a number on my waist. So with my weight sitting at just over 13st. I decided it was time to say goodbye to the carbs again and aim for my goal weight 9st 7lbs.

Made the decision yesterday after looking at pictures of me a year and a half ago when I was a stone and half lighter. I got a bit upset and realised I really wanted to get back to that, and more-so finally hit my actual goal weight. So I went to the shops and stocked up with some phase one goodies.

This morning has went of to a good start. Had a pepperami and some ham for breakfast with a decaff tea. I have a big pack lunch box full of greek salad, with olives and ham and some fete cheese to look forward to at lunch. Planning to have chicken with broccoli for dinner. Really can't wait for my first weigh in a week today. My biggest challenge is just going to be making sure I get through the 2-3 litres of water a day! I always struggle! Wish me luck!

Welcome and good luck. Sounds like you are all organised:)

Thanks Kat! It's going well so far. Even managed to have a meal out with family at the weekend, just had a Cheese and bacon burger with salad and left the bun. It was at a very nice steak house so I felt confident the burger meat would be good quality.

All seems to be going well, I had a quick check on the scales yesterday (just to see if I had went into ketosis... I really need to get some ketostix!) and I had dropped the 3lbs over the weekend. So that's a good sign. :)

I also had some very mild Atkins flu symptoms on Saturday into Sunday. Very mild headache, slightly sore throat, slight temperature and a few achy muscles. I passed through is fine though with plenty of water. I always seem to switch into ketosis over a 2-3 day period, so the timing made sense and the couple lbs off on Mon morning confirmed it.

I'm off to buy some ketostix now, so I can keep an eye on it with jumping on the scales all the time. I'm really looking forward to weighing in on Friday. only a few days to go. :)
