Hello!

I was last here in 2009 (hence the username ;-) ) doing Lipotrim. I managed to lose almost 30 pounds over 7 weeks but it has slowly crept back on... and then more!!

I'm on Day 2 of Atkins, hoping to loose 92 pounds... so far so good, although as I'm in Kenya at the moment I can't find Ketostix so not sure of how I'll know when I'm in ketosis.

This is what I've done so far:

Day 1 (8/9/2014)

Weight: 232 lb

Breakfast - 2 grilled beef sausages (4.8g), 3 grilled slices of bacon (0.5g), cinnamon in hot water (4.2g)
Lunch - Chicken drumsticks (0g)
Dinner - Sausages (4.8g) and 6 slices bacon (1g)
Snacks - Peppermint gum (4g)

Total carbs for day 1: 19.3
Exercise: 30 squats and 15 pilates arm-stretches


Day 2 (9/9/2014)

Weight: 228 lb :)

Breakfast - Sausages (4.8g), Bacon (0.5g), Green tea (0g)
Lunch - Dry fried goat meat (0g)

That's my progress so far! Hoping to start the Cardio Blast challenge this evening too :)



 
Wow- you dropped 4 pounds overnight!!! Looks good menus to me!! I'm back again to lose 90 pounds/ long journey ahead x

Hi Kimmi! Yes I'm pretty excited about the 4 pounds overnight, it's really motivated me today :) We have around the same amount to lose so we let's egg each other on. I tried exercising this evening but I'm terribly out of shape, hoping that improves over the next few days.

Hi Tig! Yaaaay, day 2 is done, hope yours went great :) The squat challenge looks good, I'll definitely try that starting tomorrow morning. I really struggled today with the Cardio Blast so it would be cool to incorporate another challenge to mix things up a bit.
 
Day 2 - Exercise and Ketostix progress

Day 2 food diary in full:

Breakfast - Sausages (4.8g), Bacon (0.5g), Green tea (0g)
Lunch - Dry fried goat meat (0g)
Dinner - Chicken breast (0g), Spinach (4.2g)

With lots of green tea (0g) throughout the day

Exercise: Started on the cardio blast today, it was pretty tough on me as I'm sooooo unfit at the moment, but will keep trying. Also going to start the Lunge Challenge, between the two I should be able to make some progress fitness-wise.

Bonus: I managed to find a pharmacist that has Ketostix out here, so will be testing myself tomorrow and hopefully be in Ketosis for day 3.

Thanks Katie :) I miss my greens as I love veggies... Still working on how to balance out everything as I didn't plan this before starting, I just kind of decided to start on Monday morning while already at work! So still exploring options but it's getting easier as I go along.

Well done on getting to your goal weight, it's always encouraging to see people who made it!
 
Day 3 - A bit if a wobble

Hellos :) Here's day 3 menu, not all went according to plan but we live and learn :break_diet:

Breakfast - 2 sausages (4.8 g), 3 slices bacon (0.5g)
Lunch - Stuck at work, no time to get something.... which may have contributed to the disaster that was
Dinner - 2 sausage (4.8g)... got home STARVING and made the quickest thing available
- 3 chicken legs (0g)
- FIVE CHUNKY FRENCH FRIES :cry:(22.3g) with a bit of Ketchup (2g)

Overall calories for the day came to 1390 (not TOOOO bad)... but carbs were 29.6 g!! Without the fries I'd have been on well below my 20g target!! Goes to show that something that may seem minor can have such drastic consequences... on the plus side 'twas a good learning lesson.

Onward and upward!!

Weight at the beginning of day 3: 228.0 lb
Weight at the beginning of day 4: 228.4 lb => Hoping that's all the damage it causes and I get back to losing today!
