Because you can read this, thank a teacher. Because it's in English, thank a soldier.

And there's an Ikea at Wednesbury (?), short train ride from the city centre - just opposite the RAC I used to work from sometimes![]()

It's the other side of Birmingham from me vicky.
You used to work at the big RAC building by the Motorway Susie?

OK, it's not easy to get to without transport love.

Yes Jim, I drove up from London a couple of times a week to work out of the big one (M5/6). A real schelp from the nearest station but Ok by car (when the traffic wasn't diabolical!). Made for a long day, in the car at 6 to try and get there for 9, then leave at 6 and home who knows when (thanks to the M25)!

Yes was always cream crackered by the time I got home - also went all over the counties, to Manchester once a fortnight and up to Sale/Chesterfield once a month! Did about 40,000 miles a year (in my lovely company Beetle South Wales Sportscars : VW Beetle 1.6 Luna)![]()

long days indeed, i do long days at work, but only drive 12 miles to get there, so i am getting paid for longer, must be frustrating sitting in the car for almost half of your long day, just getting there and back!

Got used to it Marty, had Classic FM or R4 blaring away and a hands free phone handset so would natter away (only when stationary, natch).
It was a lovely car, 2 litres automatic and really zoomed along. Would love another one - but a cabriolet, this time. All part of the south coast dream![]()

ah yes, back in my consulting days I would spend hours on the road and in Hotels, or long haul flights, sounds very glamorous, but in the end its a pain in the arse. Just not worth the Money.
