    Is it only carbs?

Silly question but is it only carbs I need to worry about? Can I forget about protein, sat fat and calories etc and just concentrate on my carb intake? X

Yep! The fat and protein keeps you fuller for longer and you'll start eating less - but don't worry about portion sizes now, if you're hungry - eat!

Have a read online about low carb, and google Gary Taubes and it might help you understand a bit more why calorie counting, etc, just doesn't work

Definitely - you want to make sure you're eating plenty of fat, don't cut back on it. I'm going to bump my Atkins questions answered thread in a minute, have a look on there for Atkins recommended targets. It's all explained in the book too which I really recommend reading if you haven't.
dieting is hard. being overweight is hard. choose your hard.
