Hi folks, a little advice needed please!! I'm unsure if I'm having enough calories. I'm using the my fitness pal app and my ratios's are normally spot on 5% carb, 65% fat and 35% protein which I understand is ok, but I'm only having about 1400 calories a day. Is that ok or should I be eating more fat? I struggle with oils etc as I don't like dressings on my sale etc and the thought of drinking butter or oil makes me gag!! Most of my fat and calories is coming from cheese, oil used in cooking meat or omelette an the meat itself. Should I be looking at eating more fat to up the calories???

Weight losses are good at the moment but just wondered, any advice much appreciated!!

Mayo, lots of it or do you class that as dressing? Roasted peppers are good, I use a shed load of olive oil then use the leftover to pour over whatever I'm having, sounds yuck but is soo nice :)

1400 cals sounds fine, whatever works for you, add more oil in your cooking and it will soon tot up.

Don't like Mayo!! I hate dressings and sauces etc!! I love roasted peppers but thought they're a bit high in carbs? I'll happily add the oil and butter to cooking, I guess I'm still stuck in the low calories mindset and a bit scared of the fat!!

I probably don't eat enough calories either.

i do cook everything in butter though and always have my daily allowance of cheese and cream.

i also use quite a lot of fatty meats like bacon and mince.

i think as long as you are losing weight keep doing what you are doing.

Thanks guys! The weight losses are fine so far so my calories intake must be ok. I'll be switching to fattier and cheaper meat next week to keep the costs down so I'm sure this will affect the fat and calories!!! X
