Whey protein for breakfast?
Looking on net for low carb breakfasts ideas and came across whey protein as a breakfast alternative.
Is this an alternative and has anyone tried it?

Protein shakes are good, but be careful about the carb content of them. Some can have only 1-2g carbs, and some can have up 17-20g. They're really aimed at people who exercise a lot, to help repair the damage to muscles after a strenuous work out, which is why the carb content can be high.
If I remember correctly, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is pretty low carb.
