Good luck with ur challenge Vic, hope you had a good first day :)
I had an okay day yesterday I've realised I need to read to book so that is my goal for this week. My weigh in day is Tuesday eek just one more day to go. I'm going out with a friends and all of our kids today to bowling and Toby carvery for lunch I'm hoping it will be ok if I stick to meat & green veg. Must avoid the yorkshires and roasties lol. Hope you have a great day today x

Thank you Daisy!! I hope you have a lovely time today, and yes, just fill up on lots of meat and veggies today :) Good luck for tomorrow, is this your first weigh in? Are you feeling optimistic??
I had a very easy first day yesterday, my hunger was cut so much, due to so much protein, so Im hoping today is going to be just as easy... I know it will get much harder as the days go on, but I just need to think of my goals, and hopefully that will keep me on track. I look forward to hearing your results tomorrow :) x

Day 2 going really well and I feel so much better in myself already. My stomach is less bloated (I suffer with IBS so it's clearly the carbs that really do not agree with my stomach) and I'm finding it really easy so far. Almost tempted to weigh myself tomorrow but am going to try and hold out until Saturday (weigh in day).

Mondays menu (16/2/14):
B : scrambled eggs and bacon
L : peppermint tea (no chance to eat)
D : chicken breasts stuffed with garlic butter wrapped in bacon with roasted leeks and green beans
S : cheese and cucumber

Tuesdays menu (17/2/14):
B : scrambled egg and bacon
L : chicken breast and mayo
D : lamb steaks, cheesy cauliflower mash and spinach
S : boiled egg (if hungry)

Will try and update each day, mainly for my benefit but if anyone sees anything I shouldn't be having, please let me know :) x

Hi Sam, ah ok so a day before mine :)
Seems strange you haven't lost anything within a month, I would expect to lose at least a couple if lb's a week on this as it's very strict.
Are you following induction? What's your typical daily menu? Perhaps there is something stopping you from going ketosis?! I don't think I could stick to this if I wasn't seeing the results, so you obviously are very motivated and have a lot of willpower!x

Day 3:
So I found day 2 very easy, once again. Dinner was lovely last night. I can definitely notice my stomach is so much flatter, I love it! And I can't wait to weigh myself in Saturday.
I completed 1.5hrs of exercise yesterday, which almost killed me, and will hopefully be doing the same again tonight, the results will be worth it I keep telling myself.

Day 3 menu:
B : 3 boiled eggs
L : chicken breast and mayo
D : pork coated in milled flaxseed with spinach mushrooms and chewy cauliflower mash
S : tuna and mayo

Well done sounds like ur doing really good, with exercise too you will get to your goal in no time. I haven't been doing anything except walking the dog so I really need to dig one of my exercise dvd's out and start doing some think 90 mins would kill me though haha x

Just found you!

Might be worth asking Pierce the administrator to move your diary to the diary threads, where more people will see it? Up to you of course :)

How was the pork in flaxseed?

Thx Angela it's going really well so far, but today I feel a bit more bloated I have to admit, I hope the spinach will start to help soon ;) either that or it might be the diet coke??!
Haha well the 90 mins almost killed me!!! I'm doing the focus t25 DVDs not sure if you've heard of them? They are torture!!! But you get results, so I'm hoping these will appear soon.
Walking the dog counts, it's all exercise as long as you're not on your bum on the sofa! Haha x

Ah ok thanks, I don't mind it being here, if that's ok??

Pork with flaxseed was amazing!! It tasted absolutely lovely and with creamy mushroom sauce it was delightful, one of the nicest dinners I've had in a while :) don't even know what made me think if it to be honest!x

Day 4:
B : egg mayo with bacon
L : chicken breast with mayo
S : ham and philidelphia
D : pork, caulimash, leeks, green beans and spinach (the spinach is really helping!!)

Today is going well so far... especially seeing as I am now at my sisters and after a 4 hour car journey. The next couple of days are going to be tricky, as I am travelling to different offices, but I came prepared. I have tins of tuna, cooked chicken breasts, boiled eggs and ham to eat, so Im hoping this will all be ok and keeps me away from anything naughty!!!

Hope everyone else is having a lovely day today. I cant wait for Saturdays weigh-in, I hope its a good one :) x

Day 5:
Going well still although I've had quite a bit of diet coke the past 2 days :( I hope that doesn't affect my weight loss. I have to admit travelling around the past couple of days has made the dieting more difficult, not being able to make a drink when you want or cook/shop when you want but I think Im coping quite well.
I have found a new fav brekkie, egg mayo with cracked black pepper and bacon (hot or cold) this is mega yummy!!!

Menu for today was :
B : egg mayo and bacon
L : chicken with mayo
S : ham and philidelphia
D : cauliflower cheesy mash, spinach, and spiced chicken

Feeling great but tired and I've come out in some cold sores so I'm putting this down to the diet! I haven't had to horrible breath yet so don't think I'm in ketosis and I do still feel the hunger but I haven't had to cold type symptoms yet either so I'm not sure!! Oh well, I'm sure they'll come soon enough :) x

Yum yum yum to the brekkie, that sounds fab!

The Atkins flu (name for the various symptoms as the carbs are flushed out in the first week) can come in various shapes and sizes, so it could well be your body detoxifying. The tiredness is definitely that too - but you will come out the other side in a day or two and loads of energy.

Try increasing your coconut oil intake, it's a natural anti viral thing, and sooo good for you :)

Thank you Susie, I will definitely try this! :) where can I get it, just from a local supermarket? Yes Im definitely feeling the loss of energy over the last 2/3 days, this morning I snoozed my alarm for 45mins!! What days do these symptoms normally kick in? I am on day 6 now, so I guess it was day 4/5 that I really noticed the tiredness, the coldsores came up on day 4 too... x

It varies hun - for some it starts day 3, with an awful flu like thing; others, nothing. Just can't predict it - except that it does pass in 2-3 days!

Coconut oil - try to get extra virgin, it is ££ but so worth it, and you can cook with it, eat it, put it on your skin and hair :) Try Holland and Barrett or online - although i seem to recall Tescos now selling it too.
