Day one

Hi all,
Today was my first day back on Atkins. I have been away from the. Atkins lifestyle approx 7 years, it used to be my natural way of eating and my reward was a weight loss of 5 stone . I met my now husband and it all went out of the window, too happy, too relaxed and too easy just to fall back into the comfort zone. Well after a year or so of failing health, hormonal issues and operations, high cholesterol and bloods taken ever few weeks, I have had enough, I have realised that the only time that I ever truly felt healthy was when I followed the Atkins diet and cut out all the processed and sugary rubbish from my life.

I remember boundless energy, not needing much sleep, and when I did sleep it was quality sleep, I remember no bloating feeling and no feelings of hunger, and most of all I remember the continual weight loss, a lean body.

i want it all back !

So today has been my day 1, probably not a perfect one, but I will get there, I will re-learn the process and the lifestyle and I will be in it for the long haul. I have around 60lbs to lose. I would like a significant loss before July for my holidays, however i intend to carry on with this lifestyle hopefully for good. I have indulged in my chips and pastas and take-aways, and always felt terrible after, i realise now that they just were not that good.

This site is so quiet now, I suppose new diet trends are to the fore, but there is only one way to lose the weight and strip the fat, that is to get rid of the carbs.

i will update one here regularly (even if I am talking to myself) , I am a true Atkins believer.

Hello! I'm just starting out too! Hopefully we can motivate each other x
