Here i go again!

Hi all,

Started again today after a year and a half in a sedentary job, 4 hours driving a day, my brother's wedding and the holidays.

Basically, I have 3 stone to lose and would like to do it before my summer hols at the end of July. Tough by do-able I think. Any other new starters?

I lost four stone on Atkins last year. Since January I have slowly put on over half a stone as not followed Atkins at all. I feel awful, less energetic and always bloated. so I have decided to start again tomorrow. I want to lose weight but also feel better like I did when I was following Atkins.
So would be good to have someone to talk with who is starting at around the same time

That's a fab weight loss! How long did it take you? Were you on strict induction for most of it? I agree with the bloating as after a couple of weeks on atkins I always feel so much better. I'm on day two now so we can spur each other on :)

It used to be so much busier in here and I don't know where everybody has gone. I've searched for other atkins forums but only found the main atkins site
 
Basically I lost it over the year. But it kind of crept up on me in the end lol a bit like when you gain. I was on strict induction for a while but then I just stopped over thinking it all. I use the bars, I always have breakfast bars so when I'm working I start the day with one and then it seems to put me on the right track. I just stuck to all the right foods and it became a normal way of eating. I felt better was losing weight and loving food. I always have peanuts and atkins choc advantage bars in the cupboard for a snack as at night I like to pick and this way I don't go for crisps and chocolate lol I only eat about 1/3 of a bar as they are so rich. I just stick to the foods, enjoy it and try not to weigh all the time. That way you see more results and stay focused on eating the right foods.
I definitely would like a buddy :)

I'm starting today - I've just come back from a holiday and didn't want to wait until Monday - I don't think there's much consistent activity on here - perhaps we could be a small group?
 
Started on Wednesday and lost 10lb so far.. Really impressed and hoping to stick to it as I have a lot to loose :)
 
Its a great start xxxx I feel tired today, but I worked nightshift on Friday and its caught up with me. Got through nightshift and today feeling tired (I want to eat junk when I'm tired) I love this way of eating x I feel happier and less bloated :) well done everyone xx
Tonight I had homemade burgers with cauliflower and a lovely cream, cheese, mushroom and bacon sauce yummy xx
 
Its easy xx just fry some mushrooms and chopped bacon, add some cream, grated cheese and that's it xx takes minutes :) and homeade burgers is just mince and I add an egg to bind xx I make a few at a time and freeze them xx I buy those storage tubs (like the ones you get from the Chinese) I put two in each tub then I always have them to hand xx
 
Every day I have two scrambled eggs for breakfast (no milk) cooked in the microwave as I'm always in a rush! Lunch is usually a chicken salad and dinner I have had salmon with salad and boiled eggs, yuk sung (delicious!), pork chops with cabbage and on Saturday I even had steak, egg and mushrooms yum yum!

Haven't missed other foods at all!
 
Do you have the mushroom stuff over the burgers or separate? Sounds lovely :)

How much cream are we allowed a day??
