I know I am such a wimp lol if I can go to the gym on my own I should be able to do this. The shakes are going fine, not sick of them yet lol apart from this morning I didn't close the top properly and ended up with chocolate shake everywhere! Was not impressed!!

I have tried the choc crisp bar which is good. Really filling sometimes I feel like I can't eat the whole bar. The mint bar is okay but not the best. The fruit and nut bar is good as well.

Yeah I agree the bars are really big it's great! lol x

I'd like to add my point of view to this thread.

Personally the thing that I find vile are some of the soups. I just had the chicken and veg one which I always find so powdery. But then part of me is saying that if I can put up with it for a while then it doesnt matter! At least I'm loosing the weight you know?

I did Lighter Life for a while and some of their shakes were vomit making... Honestly the powder texture was horrible! I've also done the Cambridge diet and it was pretty good. (less expensive and nicer then Lighterlife.)

I spent quite a long time on Lighterlife and then onto the Cambridge diet and I managed to loose loads! Then a few bad things happened in my life which has meant that Ive gone right back up. So my outlook is...

Yes the shakes etc are disgusting! (Not to mention the Snack bars.... I got 8 of these horrible things to get through! ) But if I stick to it for at least a month, then it should hopefully kick start me into proper healthy eating and exercise.

I just need that motivation from seeing the scales move! lol

I tried the berry fudge bar yesterday (it was the cheapest meal replacement thing in Tesco so I got 3!) and that was ok, not very fudge-like but was ok. Just had the chocolate mint shake and nearly gagged, terrible. I only got the pack as I want to try shakes etc before trying an expensive diet like CD or LL (got 7 stone to lose!). Tell me the others taste different! I'm going to try a couple more then ebay them if it doesn't get better!

This is quite an old thread, but had to add my suggestion in case anyone else wants to give up after trying their first shake and thinking its awful.
So, do you have a blender? Have some Ice?
Add a handfull of ice and around 200mls of water, then blitz it up with the shake powder for about 2 minutes, by the times all the ice has dispersed it will be so cold you can barely taste it, it really does make these a lot more palatable.
