Well lets start at the beginning. My name's Maureen and I'm 45 yrs old. If I honest the last time I remember being slim was when I was 10 yrs old. After that i gained and gained after each birthday. Even though I was ashamed it did'nt stop me getting fatter.
I've only ever dieted seriously twice in my life, the first time in 2001 when I was going to Florida on holiday, and I managed to lose 5 stone doing my own low calorie diet. 2nd time is now, mainly because i'm fedup of being fat.
I came across this site by accident and was so impressed with everyone's before and after picture I made a decision on 13.05.08 to start losing weight. I was hoping to start Cd, but after taking blood test last week, my doctor has discovered i have sugar in my blood. Which means I'm a diabetic.
I now have to see the practice nurse on 16.06.08 for a hour long session. God knows what she'll have to say, and to be honest I'm not looking forward to it, as she not the nicest of people I've met but it has to be done. Hopefully after I've spoken to her I'll get the chance to broach the CD subject with my doctor.

Got a touch of the runs today

My tummy is feeling really queasy today, I got the runs
, I can't think why but as you can imagine its not very nice.
Anyway, I was up very early this morning, and thought I would declutter my wardrobe and put some clothes into the charity skip near my house. I'm not sure they have anyone in need of clothes in my size, but hey ho every little helps. I can't believe how many new tops I have with the tags still on them, what a waste of money. I've decided to be brutal and put them into piles of whether I still like them or not. Total sent to charity, 12 brand new tops and 2 gilets, 2 Jackets and a coat. There's a lot more space in my wardrobe now, but i won't be filling them up again. The clothes I still have I'll now wear to work, and for every size I drop in weight i will send more off to the charity skip, instead of hanging on to them.
Popped into town this morning and resisted the urge to buy new tops. Can't justify buying them as I brought 2 yesterday in Matalan in their plus size section. Who would of thought that Matalan could have such nice clothes, that are much cheaper that Evans.
This afternoon I'm going to be looking at the prices on holidays to Orlando. I was planning to go on 15/1/09 but I might change that now and go in Nov/Dec 08. Its been 3 yrs since I took a holiday and Orlando is my most favourite place in the world. I've been 4 times and can't get enough of it. This time I'll be on a small budget so it will be cheap and cheerful for me. This would be my 2nd solo trip, and I can't wait
