Sales Shopping

Well I ventured out to the shops yesterday. Have been debating as I don't want to spend money unnecessarily as I am not at goal yet but I do want to get some new things to wear. I figured that I am not that far off so if I buy things now they will still fit but may be just a little looser!

I had the most FABBY time, trying stuff on and not feeling awful in it, wandering wherever I chose and not worrying about whether they do my size, the sense of freedom was overwhelming. I have had...

I feel really proud of myself that i didn't cave in & eat yesterday, it was really hard but i done it!! Today i'm still feeling quite low & can't seem to pull myself out of it but i'm trying to continue the days & not let myself get to the point when i just vegetate (sp) in my bed! The weather is naff but i still went for a walk & was freezing, this is the biggest down fall of being in ketosis the COLD!!!!

First of all let me summarize my weight situation, when I first went to the hospital they weighed me at 178kg (392lb or 28st), I didn’t diet in any way between that September day until I started the liver reducing diet on the 3rd of January, although my family did keep their eye on me.
On the 3rd of January I was the same weight as above but on the 17th of January, the day I went in for my operation I was 166.5kg (366lb or 26st).
When I left the hospital, four days later, I was 167.5...

This entry is about the psychological aspect of my WLS which I did not recognise was even a problem until week five, when I had lost over four stone and I decided to clear out my wardrobe of all the baggy clothes to look for ones that fitted me better.

In the past I would have put the old clothes away, just in case I needed them again, but now I know that I can chuck them away for good and I will never require them, ever.

What went in the bin? My trusty old summer...

Whenever a child behaves his/herself exceptionally well the parent will usually reward them somehow.

Why are we fatties any different?

We're putting ourselves through this and yes, the eventual reward is going to be a new, slimmer, healthier us, but what about in the mean time?
