Well I ventured out to the shops yesterday. Have been debating as I don't want to spend money unnecessarily as I am not at goal yet but I do want to get some new things to wear. I figured that I am not that far off so if I buy things now they will still fit but may be just a little looser!
I had the most FABBY time, trying stuff on and not feeling awful in it, wandering wherever I chose and not worrying about whether they do my size, the sense of freedom was overwhelming. I have had terrible lurgy but all this excitement made me quite forget how rough I felt.
The highlight was Monsoon where I managed to get into an 8!!!!!!!! I know Monsoon are very generously sized but hey it still says 8 and I will cherish it forever.
On arriving home I decided to throw out all my old clothes, trying some on in the process. It was like a comedy show, trousers falling down, tops that were twice as wide as me etc etc.
For those of you on the journey and when times get tough, hang in there as this is truly as good as it gets!

My Size 8 skirt!

Georgie, OH MY GAAAAAAAAD, you look fabulous, totally fabulous! You are officially my inspiration to get back on the sadle as it were. You look amazing and have done sooooo well, I can't get over how amazing you look. WELL DONE HUN. Glad to hear you had a clear-out too - nothing worse than slowly fitting back into those bigger clothes, hope you "donated" them to a good charity or your diet group - I have started a rail for people to sell/donate their "big" clothes to help others as they drop their sizes..
