Hi Louise, how are you doing? Did you choose a plan to follow? I get married in August and have decided to give the 5:2 diet using SML (vlcd) products on the two fasting days and I'll use My Fitness Pal to help me track the other days, keeping it healthy still.

    Hi!
Im getting married in April 2015 and am following Slimming World.
I want to maintain after my wedding so I thought this would be a good way of changing my eating and cooking habits for good.

Ive got a little more than 9lb to lose!! Probably about 3-4 stone to be in a healthy BMI but Id like to be a size 12 (currently a 16) and am not sure what weight that would be!
I wear my weight well so I dont look obese like my BMI suggests so I try not to take too much notice of that!!

Ah we'll you're on the right track! It's good that you carry it well too- bmi is a useful guide for some people but certainly doesn't work for everyone! My OH carries a lot of muscle and would be classed as obese, clearly not the case.
I think with clothes sizing it varies do much from shop and person, you'll just have to keep going til you hit the 12s! Might be less than you think to get there, suppose it depends where you lose from first! X

So far Ive lost from my fingers!! My engagement ring used to fit quite snug but now it spins around on my finger- will need to get that resized before the wedding (ANOTHER thing to add to the list!!)

Ive lost from my natural waist as well as I have a traditional hourglass type figure- big on the bust and hips!

    Lol this made me laugh!
It's funny though it was one of my many turning points when my engagement ring started to feel uncomfortably tight. Made me realise I needed to get my backside into gear!
It's nice that your waist is coming back- mine used to be really defined and is (very) slowly coming back.
Is your to do list massive? X

The wedding to-do list is slowly getting whittled down but I also keep adding things to it, like making a playlist of music for the ceremony and signing the registrar as I hate silence. Kinda hard though because my taste in music isnt to everyones taste and doesnt really set the tone for a wedding :P (I like heavy rock!)
I also still havent started shopping for my dress, as I want to lose another half a stone and then use it as a reward
At least Ive booked the photographer, food and florist!

How is your list looking? Im sure you'll mention something Ive forgotten!

Lol re your music- I can imagine that being a tricky one. How heavy rock are we talking? I know some bands do acoustic stuff that could be nice- Foo Fighters etc?
Silence might be a bit awkward, but I'm sure your guests would talk amongst themselves too?
I'm with you on the dress front, it will be my reward too! Though I want to be down by about 9lb first.
List is looking long! We have so far booked the ceremony and reception venue, the hog roast, the wedding bus to transport between venues and have made enquiries re a photographer. I've a good idea about my DJ but need to make sure he is available, and flowers I'm going to mostly do myself with the exception of my bouquet, so it shouldn't be too difficult.. I've tried on a few rings but it's a big expense I can't face just yet! Invitations are being made now by the MIL but I need to get my save the dates sorted. Do you send them out a year before? If so they need to go by this weekend haha
My friend bought me a wedding planner organiser thingy that is keeping me on track!

You sound a lot more organised than me!

We are having a civil ceremony at the same venue as our reception so thats sorted. Weve got our DJ, chair covers and booked the registrar as well. Im making the invites, table settings etc as I think Im kinda crafty but havent started making them yet! Got someone in mind to do the cake (mmmm cake!) and seen my bridesmaid/ flowergirl dresses and the ushers outfits (but havent got them yet).
Also making bath bombs for favours for the women but havent made them yet or thought about what to give the male guests.
Havent even started looking at rings (apart from an internet browse).
We are having several children so we are making a little childrens corner with colouring books, lego etc but need to get some stuff for that (good old pound shop and some of my little boys lego probably!) and need to do them favours (thinking sweetie bags!)
Need to think about usher/ bridesmaid gifts and accessories. Accessories for me. Hair and make-up. Venue decoration...
And a million other things probably!!

Yikes when you say it all like that it sounds looooadss!!
Oh yeah we have booked the registrar too- wont get far without one will we!
Ahh it's nice that you're making your own, my "craft" skills resemble a tired three year olds attempts at cutting and sticking lol. Have you got your colour scheme?
Mmmm cake! It's the one thing I am making myself- I plan to do lots of practices! Yum yum.
Bath bombs are a great idea for favours! Think were gonna try have girls and boys but not sure exactly yet.
The pound shop is brilliant for kids bits and even wedding decor type stuff, I bought my favour boxes from there! Bargains to be had :-D
The gifts are a really tricky one, we are on a tight budget so was thinking about trying to pick some bits up round Xmas when there are deals around...
Argh I need to write things down lol xx

Our budget is pretty tight as well- hence that I'm trying to be crafty!!
All the stuff you have to think about when planning a wedding is ridiculous!!
Im so jealous about your baking skills! I can just about make muffins but last time I tried to make a large cake it resembled a rock- both in taste and appearance!!
