Personally I've found calorie counting really easy. It's straight mathematics basically...which means it works for me because it's so simple in my head:
My weight = food in - calories burned
So if food in is lower than calories burned, weight goes down!
Plus it's not restrictive like other diets. You can really eat whatever you want as long as you stay within your allowance.
