Steph's attempts at calorie counting

I've been calorie counting for about 5 days now, I was on slimming world up until then but I've gone gluten free and am struggling to fit that in with SW. I haven't been massively hungry and have definitely NOT been eating the best foods but I'm sticking with 1250 and will be eating my usual healthy stuff once I've got my head around gluten free.

Quorn chicken curry w/ 50g long grain rice. Only had 1/2 the rice so added a bit of milk and sugar after - 385

Snacks
Cream egg :0 feels veery naughty to eat this even though its in cals - 175
2 sips of dr pepper-46
Cranberry juice - 130

I put in my stroll to Uni on mfpI'm very wary of going under 1200 that's the only reason.

948 cals- no idea how I'm supposed to fit any more food in, 252 under :| may have a hot choc and banana later.

Ahh I really hope so, I'm struggling to not feel like I'm being really naughty cos I'm so in the SW way now but enjoying a bit more freedom. First wi is Thursday..fingers crossed!

Realised my goal is 1250 a day so 300 under..having a 9 bar - 222 and a cup of tea -10 for milk and 15 for sugar AND an apricot. I should definitely be there with that! Feel like I've eaten so much today :( that's taken me to 1226, done! That said 2500 before?? Definitely not my goal haha!

Thanks Ali :) When did you go over to the dark side? Hoping I can see some good losses. I'm still finding myself thinking oo this is sooo many syns but that'll go I guess! She has a weekend away planned this week so definitely not before then lol xx

I moved to CC last Feb - did fab til Sep but it's back on now plus more :( I'm going through a few girlie issues though so hoping to be back on track soon :)

Ahh I see I thought you'd just moved your sw diary! I know that feeling, put on over a stone cos of girly issues in 6 months last year and there was just no controlling it :( no excuse now I'm 6 months post op though haha. Good luck with getting sorted! xx

I am starving today, have eaten loads so no idea why :( * week so probably why. I have 300 cals left so will think carefully what I can have to fill me most!

I sometimes find it difficult to make up the calories in a day and wonder how on earth I ever managed to go over them to begin with?! I have a limit of 1,400 but usually aim for around the same as yourself.

I had a few days this week of feeling really hungry and am also blaming it on my * week. Just been trying to fill up on water and fruit!!

Good luck with your weight loss journey :)

Hi and Thanks for popping in :) I'm the same, really happy with my amount except today. its insane the amount you can fit into 1250 cals! I just hope I can get good results as I really do enjoy calorie counting. I'm drinking as much water as possible to beat the bloat and fill me up too, this is always the worst week of a diet. Do you find you have good losses with that amount? Some people say its too low x
 
I've had some mashed carrot and swede, which wasn't the nicest but I was starving and some low fat gluten free cornflakes taking me to 1200 net. I could still eat something else but mint tea and water is all I'm having!
 
I have losses of anything between 2 and 5lbs. Have only been properly on the calorie counting wagon, sticking rigidly to it, for the last month and I'm down from 13st 7lbs (what I went back up to over Christmas) to 12st 11lbs (as of today) so I am generally happy with this level of calories :)
 
First weigh of calorie counting and I'm up 2lb :( if I'm being sensible about it I know there's no possible way I've put on 2lb of fat. Hopefully it's water retention/ totm related and I can see a big loss next week.

Sorry to hear about your ickle gain Steph - it could be totm as you say and if so look forward to a super loss next week :)

The only thing you will have to keep an eye on is to try and eat enough ... crazy as it sounds ... sometimes 1200 cals is too low and not sustainable
 
Wouldn't worry about it Steph. The results will probs show on the scales next week. TOTM has a lot to answer for!!
