thought id come say hi here as no-one is answering my post in the general forum..i feel quite alone!!

Hi! Hope you are not feeling too alone, but I know the feeling that you are talking about. Sometimes on this diet in feeling quite down and emotional at times. How long have you been on the diet for? I'm on week 5 and am fed up of smelling food but not being able to eat lol! How's your journey going?
 
oh thank you for replying :) im on day three and finding it fine so far. this is my third restart due to my own fault and gaining it all back but im here, im fighting it and im gonna win! lol

how are you finding it in week 5..have you settled into a routine yet?

Not finding it too bad atm. Just get bored of not eating but keep reminding myself about my goal weight.I'm pretty good at sticking with it and drinking water to stop my cravings. Just trying to change how I think about food and what I'm putting into my body because before I started I just used to eat anything and in large quantities. I always seem to get nervous before weighing in and then beat myself up about small losses. (Not even sure if what I've just written makes sense, sorry!)
 
totally makes sense :) have you done a vlcd before?
 
feel a bit blurhhh today. got my thing too which doesnt help and have to keep reminding myself yes it is worth it. no, dont go to the biscuit tin. i have to keep giving myself a talking to and ill be glad when that feeling goes once ketosis kicks in :(

Hi! Never done a diet like this before, I've tried cutting out the junk from my diet and then tried ww a couple of times since my son was born. I sometimes don't feel as though it's getting any easier, especially when I'm sorting lol 'und food out during the holidays but I can now get into a smaller size of clothes and keep thinking that when I'm back at work (I'm a teacher) that I'll have more distractions and it won't feel as bad.

When's your weigh in day? Have you had a sneaky jump on any scales?!

IM just coming back froma weeks holiday and used lt everyday n its been fine! Ill weigh myself tomorrow at home and have to wait to get weighed officially as chemist is away onholiday soshe sold me two weeks in one go. Only went to devonbut its been a lovely break.

yes very nice thanks. weather was changeable but it was great to get away from stresses n things :).
 
So another update. Yesterday was very challenging. I cooked sausages n made my own tomato bread, god i wanted some but i didn't give in and in so proud lol.
today i weighed myself, officially tomorrow and down 4lb which is all good

Hi guys in fairly new on my 6th day now, feeling good, think ketosis has kicked in as I'm not feeling as hungry? Just wana say reading all your stories really keeps me motivated to stick to this, after reading all the posts I know it's been said a thousand times before but it's so comforting knowing there's other people in the same boat as me and better still there's a forum which we can support each other on, I feel really positive today, I've got my 1st weigh in later on, il keep you all posted :)

Hi all I am totally obsessed with reading every ones individual situation. It is the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing at night, but it helps tremendously. I have my note pad in the kitchen so just as i feel slightly weakened I login and gain inspiration. Thanks all.
 
so another day down. im going to a different chemist saturday as my other one let me down and wouldnt weigh me even though id prearranged to be there after travelling 20 miles....grrrrrr

im having to use a mix of exante and lt as ive run out but hopefully itll be ok just for a couple days, dont see why it shouldnt, the scales are still going down :)

i went to the gym tuesday night after work and managed 17 minutes running time which for me, after a year of illness and injury i was absolutely estatic about, still am! off again tonight and want to do the same, no WILL do the same :)

went to the gym again last night and managed 15 min run as got too hot but aim for longer next time (tomorrow). weight is gradually going down every day. ive definately noticed that it goes down more the morning after ive been to the gym and exercised. usually its a gradual 1/2 to 3/4lb a day, with exercise its 1lb or more so ill stick to every other day and i should get a good weight loss i reckon!
