The Last Stone

I have decided to start a new diary to mark the final push to my goal.

I've just got back from holiday and my starting weigh in was 9 st 13! As the title suggests, I am aiming to get down to 9st over the coming weeks - though I expect my ultimate goal may be a little lower than that.

I am definitely better with a lifestyle type diet rather than cutting anything out or restricting myself but I am going to try and do one or two fast days a week (as close to 500 cals as possible) and also eat as clean as possible. I will weigh in on Thursday mornings.

Feeling motivated! LETS DO THIS! :D

Day 1. FAST DAY

Monday 16th September - weight 9st 13lbs

Breakfast - none

Lunch -
Itsu junior sushi salmon and tuna 165

Dinner -
Butternut squash and smoked bacon covent garden soup 246
Options hot choc 40

TOTAL 451

Felt good and in control especially in the evening. Really hope I can keep my motivation up! I have booked into body pump on Thursday evening. I am going to do the 7 minute work out every single evening from now on. NO EXCUSES! I have been rushing home from work as we have two kittens who are super energetic and I feel bad they are alone all day so try and get back as quickly as possible to play with them but they can just watch me do the 7 min workout no problems! I might even try and do it morning and evenings. That is the goal for tomorrow.

This evening I have the ocado delivery coming jam packed with loads of veg and healthy stuff. I have planned out my lunch and dinner and will do the 7 min workout. I am also going to try and remember to take photos of my dinner each evening, not much point with lunch as I eat at my desk usually either sushi, soup and veg snack bits.

Have all the tasty healthy food now and fridge and freezer are jam packed! Have planned out the next few meals. I bought more red meat than we usually ever eat because we have been feeling tired so I thought I would see if the extra iron/protein helped at all.

Annoyingly I made up my lunch box for today then forgot it was in the fridge in my rush out of the door :( so will have it tomorrow instead. No exercise other than my usual attempt to hit 10,000 steps a day but I will concentrate on keeping the food good and add exercise when I can.

Fast day today so if I can go without lunch since I forgot it, I am planning on large flat mushrooms stuffed with cottage cheese and a fish cake this evening with spinach. Should finish around 500- 550 fingers crossed!

Weighed in this morning - 9st 10!!!!! Wohhoo 3lbs off since the start of the week, but that is probably a little restart boost combined with some water weight from all the salty foods on holiday and the plane journey.

I was on a course all day yesterday and again today which has stopped me snacking. Its really hard and I'm feeling stressed and worried :( I remembered my pack lunch today so I have those nibbly bits on my midday break. Have vegtable cous cous with goats cheese and beetroot salad planned for dinner this evening. Still feeling motivated, would be really pleased if I can get to first target of 9st 7 by the end of the month!

Hia, I've decided to subscribe! I'm currently doing Atkins and got to 9.13 too, today I'm 10.04 and want to break the barrier. So we are similar in weight and I'm interested to see how you do. I have thought about changing to calorie counting and creating cal deficits with workouts to see if I can get to my goal of 8.13 because its getting very tough now for me on my current woe.

Hi Lauren- you have done so well! I don't think I'd last a day on Atkins! I love calorie counting because it means you don't have to cut anything out and it encourages you to eat clean because you get a lot more tasty food that way :D Do you measure? I can personally never be bothered but it is probably a good thing to do once you are nearing the end of your losses and working on toning/metabolism through exercise :) Good luck with everything!

Thanks berry, funnily enough I find Atkins easy apart from I love a bowl of all bran. Couldn't give too hoots about bread, pasta, rice or potatoes. I suppose the only thing that has stopped me from doing cal counting so far is that I love meat, cheese and cream!!!! Loads of cream. I can shift 2 big tubs of double cream in my coffees and all bran within 3 days :( if I did cal counting I'd be buggered before lunch lol

i agree with you about measuring, it starts getting tough the closer we get so all tricks have to come in to play. I don't measure at the moment, never have except when I did WW years ago...never do that again and don't believe it was good for me since its all low fat and doesn't teach us how to eat properly with those points. Although it does work well for some, it was a license to go mad for me.

Good luck!!! You'll be at target before you know it :)

Thanks Erin!

+1lb this morning on WI :( :( not surprising. It was supposed to be a fast day hence the no breakfast/lunch but I just went to pot in the evening. So stupid. Will I ever lose this last bloody stone!!!?? Oh well- must just carry on, 1300 is my daily target now.

Oh no :(. Sorry you never got the loss you were hoping for. Just need to stick with it! You WILL get there. x

OK haven't updated the diary, am doing ok I guess. Averaging 1300-1400 calories a day so should be losing. Haven't drank any alcohol since weekend before last but I did have some chocolate this weekend and a mini haagen daz tub. Trying to eat as clean as possible, all my savoury/main meals are made from scratch and have tons of veg its just the sweet/chocolate/sugar that is letting me down I think. Also going to try and be super strict with portion control this week and see if that helps at all.

I am off to Body Combat this evening and Circuits tomorrow so hopefully getting back into the gym will help!

Did Body Combat last night- an hour long class! Felt great to be back in the gym :D

Signed up for a circuits class this evening also.

Eating well and planning on reducing my gluten/wheat intake to see if that helps with bloating/stomach pains. There are so many gluten free substitutes for pasta now, and I don't eat much bread or other processed things so we'll see how it goes!

Hi Erin- I am back at the gym which is good. Circuits, treadmill, running, body combat etc. and hoping to go swimming this evening. Calories haven't been bad but probably around 1,500 - WI was 9st 10 this morning so effectively a STS. Hopefully things will start moving soon :(

Been so RUBBISH at updating and kinda RUBBISH at calorie counting over the last few weeks. I have a lot on with work (no excuse) and have been eating far too much sugar via chocolate and cookies mainly. Other than that food has been healthy and I have been in the gym at least a couple of times a week. My weight has been pretty static around the 9st 11 mark for the past few weeks, but this morning I saw 9 st 9 again this morning - which means my first mini target is only two pesky pounds away, yet I am finding it near impossible to get my mojo back and get there! Will do my best to get back on track and stop messing around!
