Lucy's calorie counting food diary

Hi guys I'm Lucy, I'm nearly 24 and have two kiddies, a nearly two year old boy and a 9 week old baby girl.
I'll keep it simple- went from 16st 10lbs to 13st after having my son in 2012. Got pregnant start of 2013 so stopped dieting and ate too many goodies and am now 14st 8lbs
Lost previously with a bit of slim and save, Zumba and rosemary Conley (essentially calories counting at 1200 a day).
My aim is to finally reach my goal of 11st (I'm 5'9). Feeling very determined and will try to update here as much as possible. I'm initially sticking to 1200 a day (may up it after a few weeks or when I start exercising again)

Day 1 done :) food diary for today:

B- 2 slices of toast spread with 2 dairy lea light triangles (250)
L- tin of tomato soup (240)
S- small apple (50) and 2 rich tea fingers (50)
D- chicken fillet, waffle, cucumber, sweetcorn and tbsp mayo (430)
S- option hot choc (50)
Teas during day (100)

Total cals: 1170 :)

Feeling good, not hungry- just enjoying my hot choc - may have another rich tea biccy as they are only 23 cals. I think dieting is much easier with little ones to keep you occupied- no time to eat lol! X

B- 2 sliced toast spread with 2 laughing cow light (250)
S- 2 Special K choccy biscuits (100)
L- 2 ww bread, 1 laughing cow light, slice of ham and cucumber sandwich (150)
D- chicken, waffle, sweetcorn, vegetables, gravy (470)
S- options hot choc and 2 rich tea biscuits (100)
Teas- (100)

Total cals: 1170 :)

Kiddies need attention will update properly later x

Hi rach :) yeah today's been good thanks, compared to a vlcd it seems quite easy sticking to 1200. think I may of reached goal last year if I didn't get pregnant- so hopefully this is the year! How about you? I've been reading your diary you've done amazing :) x

Gosh I don't know how everyone has time to keep up to date on here lol- I am nosing at everyone's diaries but I barely have time to update my own!

Anyway food today

B- 2 slices toast spread with 2 laughing cow lights (270)
L- tomato soup (230) ww bread (50) laughing cow light (25)
D- 2 Linda McCartney sausages (200), 2 small y.puddings (100), vegetables (100) and gravy (50)
S- lemon mouse (120)
Teas- (100)

Total calories: 1245

Bit over but not bad. Tbh I tend to overestimate and round up especially with things like tea, gravy, mayo etc just to make sure lol

Definitely feeling I can achieve my goal weight- know it's early days but the fact that I can basically eat what I want as long as I stick to my calories is a huge relief! I can enjoy food and loss weight- woop woop :p x

Well done hun thats fab! I know what you mean it does seem possible with calorie counting, I just have to be more organised that usual and think about my food choices a bit more. I think in the long term it helps to change your overall attitude to food (which is what is most important I reckon). The support on here is fab atm and I def think this is gonna be our year xx

That's brill! :) Love the sound of your dinner - I've been craving pasta recently. :)

Like Rach said, the best thing about calorie counting is you can still eat what you like. Nothing is 'forbidden', or frowned upon, or are attached to words with bad connotations! Have what you want, when you want it - but just don't have too much of it!
 
Yup think calorie counting is definitely the way to go :)

Yesterday's food:

S- 3 cheese twists (120)
L- big soup (180) plus slice of bread with laughing cow light (140)
S- apple (50)
D- pizza toast and salad (two slices of bread spread with tbsp of pasta sauce, sprinkle of garlic powder and 25g low fat cheese popped under grill) (350)
S- options hot choc (50) and 4 rich tea biscuits (100)
Teas- (100)

Total cals- 1090

Dinner was so yummy :)

Started going back to baby groups which is an hour walking there and back up and down hills with a double pram (or single pram and baby strapped to me)- that must burn some calories ;)

Will do today's food later x

Boo I can't remember what happened but I had a sneaky meal off, which turned into a day, and then several weeks lol.
I decided to go back to the class I originally lost with (rosemary Conley) for the weigh in and exercise class but am essentially calorie counting. My start weight there last Thursday was 15st! I've stuck to 1200 cals a day and my first weight in is tonight. I lost 3 stone with this class in 2012 before falling pregnant so I know I can do it!

I think for me I need the support (and fear) of an weigh in. So excited for first weigh in tonight :) x

L- fresh tomato soup and laughing cow light (110)
S- protein bar (120) and apple (50)
