My 64th diet....

Here starts the diary of a serial dieter...
I'm 9 months off the big '50' (how the heck did that happen?) and reckon that I've pretty much started 2 diets a year since I was about 17, hence my 64th diet, and - famous last words - hopefully my last. Over the last couple of years I started out with slimming world, moved onto 5:2, and now with 1 stone to go am trying calorie counting with MFP.

I would really, really, REALLY like to be at goal for my Birthday, so, as you do, I've had a major pig out today, and tomorrow I start. Hopefully by keeping a diary I might actually stick to it.

Here's hoping...

9 months is plenty of time to drop that last stone. I think keeping a diary does really help :)

Aw thanks for the welcome, having a bit of support will make things much easier.

I got weighed this morning and was 10 stone 10 pounds, so I've slightly more than a stone to lose. Scary as it means that I've managed to put on half a stone since giving up 5:2 three weeks ago! Today should be a good day as my husband is on a fast day, so I tend not to overdo it for our evening meal.

It's too hot to be at work!

Too hot - it's raining here in Wales. :D
 
It's horrible and muggy here now.

Right, I've been on MFP and I'm to have 1290 calories a day, so that's not too bad.
Todays food is

Breakfast - McVities breakfast biscuits

Lunch - Warburtons wrap with ham

Dinner - Haddock, new potatoes and peas

Snacks - Slice of toast and half a Mullerlight with some oats mixed in

Calories - 1174
Steps - 5836 so far

Off to fathom out how to put my URL in my signature...
 
Hello there, Good luck with your new diet - don't worry about going a little bit over - 1200 is quite low in my opinion. Hard to know where to set your limits though. I have gone quite high and even so I have lost weight when I have stuck to it!. Trying to regain some motivation just now so that this can be my "last" diet too!
 
yes, one day at a time. Keep drawing a line and starting again. I have been off for a fortnight but have begun to reign myself back in by making myself come back here and posting.
