GlitteryFridays Calorie Counting and Low Carbing

Hi ladies,

I do have a diary in the low carb section as well but it seems so so quiet there and I really miss/crave the support and general chit chat :)

Long story short, Friday 11th July I cut out all bad carbs from my diet (bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, sugar/chocolate/biscuits etc) and have felt amazing. Plus lost 9lb as well!

So I'm aiming for relatively low carb 30-40g and under and since I'm entering foods in MFP to see my carb intake I count my calories too.

I've currently set my goal to 1700 a day although I'm struggling to eat that much most days. Ever since cutting out carbs my cravings have COMPLETELY gone, my appetite is so much smaller and eating is not the main thing in my head anymore. Which is nice since I used to eat crap every day and obsess over food ALL day.

So I started at a terrible 17st 3lb and am currently at 16st 8lb. My initial goal is to get to 11-12stone and then ultimately 10st! I've never felt better or more sure I can do this - it feels great!

I'd love to have buddies and support/advice from everyone! I'd like to hear your stories, experiences and advice! I will be posting my food diary here as well to hopefully give other people ideas as well as learn from my mistakes :)

Thanks for reading everyone! X

Welcome to Calorie Counting Forums - I am nearlly done with losing weight as I am almost at my target but will continue to post on here as I want to maintain where I am and not gain again.
I also ignore my exercise cals - just note the steps I do as I have to do 10,000 each day -( that is my daily obsession :) )

Hi!

Thank you so much for popping in! Congratulations on getting to your goal - that must feel so wonderful! How much have you lost?

I'm also addicted to my FitBit and make sure I do at least 10000-12000 a day!

In 2000 I weighed 15.5 stone and went down to 10st then 18 months ago I had an accident and have not been able to exercise properly since then and then before Christmas I had an op and had a cast on my arm for almost 10 weeks so did absolutely nothing and gained 1.5 stone and that is what I have now lost.

I WILL NOT buy a Fitbit :D I am bad enough with my Pedometer. People at the exercise class I go to are gradually all buying one but I would be obsessed with it so decided not to buy one.

Well done, that's amazing! That's about what I want to lose, 5.5 stone. Seems so far away but it's nice to hear from people it can be done - inspires me to keep going!

Haha, FitBits are amazing, best money ever spent! But you're right, it does make me a bit crazy addicted!
