Chelle's Diary - Long way to go :)

Hi everyone,

Im Michelle, I'm 28 years old and i'm from Nottingham, I am very overweight and have a couple of things that have added to my weight gain over the years (as well as being greedy of course ) I have PCOS and Endometriosis and have been trying to conceive with my OH for 2 years now. I know that if i was to be so lucky as to get pregnant, being so overweight would not be good for me and especially the baby, this is one of my main motivations for loosing weight. I have been under the hospital since i was 16 years old for my PCOS and i have a lovely consultant who has always been honest with me and told me he will only help me to conceive if i loose weight. I would love nothing more than to start a family of my own with my partner and this seems to be giving me the motivation i need to shift my bulk! I have a lovely fiancé who is very very supportive of me and also have incredible support from my family. I have tried majority of diets in the past, some good, some not so good But one thing i haven't tried before is calorie counting snd I'm looking forward to giving this a go.

I got engaged July this year and we are getting married in 2016 so i also have that which i can use as my motivation. I want to be a healthy slim bride.

Im looking forward to talking to your all and making some new friends

Any support would be greatly appreciated x

Lovely to see you here. let us know if you need any help

:) Thank you :)

well done on your weight loss, you've done brilliant! x

Thankyou! Its been hard work since the end of the summer, 2.5lb to go until I'm back to where I was 2 months ago, and then another 7lbs to get down to what I'd like to be. I've followed slimming world so far and only started calorie counting recently, so fairly new to this too. Are you using an app to help you count calories?

I was doing slimming world, lost 3 stone then stopped and put it all back on :(

I absolutely love slimming world but to be honest my biggest problem is portion sizes.

Because i didn't do extra easy. I did red and green days. Mostly green and i was just eating a ridiculous amount of carbs just for the sake of it!

Im using my fitness pal and I'm measuring absolutely everything out. X

Just ordered the food shop. It's being delivered tomorrow night. I spent ages looking and ordering new bits that are low calorie. I must say that the 1 thing i am enjoying about calorie counting is being able to sit down with my other half and have a meal together. Whilst doing slimming world our meals were never ready together and we never used to sit at the table together and eat dinner but now because we are eating the sane food we can. We had a lovely dinner together tonight. So ive made sure that I've ordered lots of stuff that we can have together x

Do you do online food shopping? I literally have never, ever tried this but I am tempted!! I generally just do an aldi or a lidl food shop and then pick things up mid-week but it would save me a lot of time I bet!! What kind of meals have you decided on? I'm quite lucky in the face that my OH will eat anything. So he has always eaten my slimming world meals. But I think where I went wrong was the fact our portion sizes were fairly similar...

Hiya,

Yes we do online shopping once a week and then in the week if i need some more fruit and veg i will nip into a Tesco or Asda and pick some up.

Its only £1 delivery and it beats having to fight your way round the supermarkets. I hate that!

Ive got a gammon joint so I'm going to make a gammon stew in the slow cooker and that will last us a couple of nights. Ive got some jacket potatoes and cottage cheese for 1 night. Ive bought a chicken for dinner on Sunday. For my lunch Ive bought some cracker breads, some chicken, ham, prawns, smoked salmon slices, soft cheese. Plenty of salad and fruit. Oh and I've bought some cuppa soups because i cant believe how low calories they are and often i don't fancy a big lunch so thought i could have one if them with some cracker breads or crackers. I have to limit my intake of crackers because i Have a obsession with dry crackers. I could sit and eat a whole packet! Lol! Ive also bought alot of low fat yogurt to snack on x
