Vanessa's last diet diary

Hi, my name is Vanessa. In the last 4 years I have managed to gain more than 4 stone mainly from late night eating and having takeaway shops and supermarkets on my doorstep. Before that I lived in The Netherlands in a province that was very catholic. So no shops/supermarkets open after 5. Nothing open on sunday and no takeaway shops for 15 miles. I never kept anything in the house so if i wanted anything then it was tough luck.
I have tried many diets, herbalife, dukan, slimming world and weightwatchers. The most successful one was ww. I did this last year and lost 22lbs in 4 months. However this year has been awful. I've been constantly ill and so have gained 10lbs back. Now I have decided to try just simple calorie counting. My daily allowance is 1480. Some days may be slightly lower and others a bit higher though. Its my birthday next week so that will be a slightly higher day.

Here is my food diary for day 1 (i will amend it if I have anything else but hopefully not)

B. 40g porridge, 150ml skimmed milk and a little honey (217 cals)

L. Salmon salad (275 cals)
Melon (63 cals)
Walkers crisps (130 cals)

D. Hairy Bikers beef goulash and 50g rice (488 cals)
Count on us Strawberry Ripple dessert (132)

1305 cals

I had an extra packet of crisps in the evening so my final total was 1435 cals :)

I drink only water, herbal teas and diet coke so no extra milk for teas.

How does my 1st days menu sound?

My menu tomorrow will be similar to today. No mothers day meal for me. I'm celebrating it next week with my birthday and my mother is in South Africa

Hi Worldwidewren,

Your food for the day sounds really good! If you can stick to 1500 or less then hopefully the pounds will just fall away- it's impressive that you lost 22lbs in 4 months last year!

Looking forward to reading your diary!
