"Wraps"

Just to say that I used a big iceberg lettuce leaf as a replacement "tortilla wrap" to enclose my ham salad stuff for lunch the other day. I actually used less food making them up than if I'd made myself a plate of salad but ended up with TWO wraps which I enclosed in cling film in the fridge for half an hour to help set the shape - and they were totally yummy! The lettuce really gave them a lovely "bite" And very low carb / calorie :D

I have to say that I've had these for lunch a couple more times since I originally posted and I still find them yummy and really filling. I actually eat LESS than if I'd made a plate of salad, but because it looks like a normal wrap and I eat TWO of them for my lunch, my brain is fooled into thinking I've had LOADS of food. I add Aldi's lighter-than-light mayo and use their Torchon ham which is 50kcal per slice (one in each) I've weighed the rest and they come in as a total of 184 kcals which is a lovely low figure for such a filling lunch. I eat mine out of the cling film as I can't wait long enough for them to "set" into shape...
