    Hi all! :-)

Like many of you I think I've been on every forum on Minimins over the past few years :-( I'll not go into my disastrous diet history but needless to say after a 3.5 stone loss on CD 4 years ago and despite struggling to lose more or stop the flab piling back by both exercise and strict calorie reduction/fasting/VLCD/WW/SW/paleo (get the picture here, lol?) I am now back to square 1 when about 8 weeks ago I just gave up and have been eating what should be maintenance level for a woman of my stats in the hope it would kick start my metabolism. Unfortunately and hardly surprisingly the weight has just PILED on and I am now too scared to get on the scales......EEEEEKKK! I have gone from a 14-16, to an 18-20 in those eight weeks eating approx 2200 cals a day (with some exercise included) so today I am starting a cut in calories and praying that my metabolism responds as I haven't been able to lose a single pound for a year without resorting to VLCD :'(.

I'm 44, 5'4" (must be around 15 stone .....I know I'm gonna have to weigh myself sometime) and I plan to eat around 1800cals a day with more on days I exercise (don't want to go under my BMR which should in a normal me be around 1660 cals . I don't want to be a stick insect and a couple of stone would do me as I looked great at around 12.5 stone a couple of years back....

So good luck to you all....... And let's hope to see some great losses this week

    Jackie

Hiya, good luck. I was lucky and ate maintance of about 2100cals for a few weeks and didnt gain so I guess I was lucky! Im eating tdee minus 500 so 1600cals a day and adding exercise cals onto that. Yesterday I did shred it with weights and still ate 1400cals and didnt add exercise cals onto that so prob was at around 1200cals yesterday. Need to use my heart rate moniter tonight and work out in a mo.
We will ALL make our goals x

Well done girls....I walked 4 miles with hubby which was fairly energetic as where I live in the country the roads are very hilly. Food wise not bad......Back to work tomorrow so that should make things slightly easier for me as well xx

Well I did ok today. I netted 1500 cals due to my exercise and although I have said I would eat back my exercise cals I really am not hungry.

Just need to find the nerve to weigh myself at some stage but maybe next week

Right, well I gathered the courage and weighed in at 15.3 :'( that means I have a full stone on since I started eating at maintenance 8 weeks ago. Obviously my body is rightly messed up but I'm so hoping I might be able to lose some weight now by doing things properly.

    So depressing

Cereals leave me starving after an hour so it's protein all the way for me :-)

Well day 2 over and again came in under calorie goal . Trying to eat as little processed food as possible as well but it's nearly impossible these days. >: (

My weigh in today after 8 weeks of eating at maintenance levels and above was very stressful for although I could tell I had piled the weight on it was still shocking to see 15st 2.8lbs which is the heaviest I've ever been. A full stone on as well! And i didnt even go mad during those 8 weeks and counted my cals on mfp 90 % of the time. My body is obviously totally messed up from my yo yo dieting and calorie restriction. I'm just praying that I've now reset things, fingers crossed.

Didn't exercise today and I'm cross with myself about that as I need to get my head back in exercise mode (I was spinning 3-4 times a week earlier last year and love it but didn't lose any weight). So that's my next goal to get back on track with fitness

Think I'll try staying off the scales as long as I can as if they don't move downward I am going to be unbearable to live with (poor hubby )

Just had a yummy dinner after a bit of a strength work out in the garage......my legs are all wobbly, lol!

Whole meal pasta with chicken, mushrooms, onion, peppers, peas and Philadelphia light cheese spread and a wee bit of stock. Finished off with a sprinkling of Parmesan....very tasty and very filling for around 600 cals. Still got a couple of hundred cals left so might use some if them on my weakness which is crisps.....:-)

    Another good day
