Thumbs up invite to commit to eat clean & take care of self for the next 3 weeks

I've been sticking to my calorie allowance, but started going a bit over the last two days. I'm nipping this in the bud before it 'creeps up' anymore, and I've made a commitment to

    a. plan my daily meals

    and

    b. eat as 'clean' as I can

between tomorrow and the end of March (it's too late to start today!)

I've also made a few other commitments for the next three weeks, like walking every day, drinking 2 - 3 liters of water a day and ensuring I get at least 8 hours sleep a night. This is really good for me to be looking after myself like this as I study quite an intensive course and also work a part time job waitressing which means I often am working during mealtimes, which = grabbing a couple of party pies from the local shop on the way to work or eating some unhealthy thing when I get home after a long shift. This way, planning my meals, means I'll know when to take a healthy salad or wrap with me, or to have some home-made soup in the freezer that I can heat up when I get home.

Would anyone else like to join? This is not a weight-loss goal that you're signing up for, rather an affirmation to eat healthy ('clean'), drink enough water, get enough sleep and eat at regular intervals rather than odd times all over the place. Between now and the end of March (three weeks). You can use your own goals or the ones I've suggested This is good for anyone who feels a bit off track or even like you'd just like to take better care of yourself, whether you've been sticking to calorie goals or not.

    Who's in?

I'm in! I vow to do the following:
    - Stop drinking coke/fizzy drinks
    - Drink 2-3 litres of water each day
    - Get at least 7 hours sleep a night (but hopefully more!)
    - Exercise every day
    - Cut back on processed foods, and eat lots of vegetables

Just wanted to say - I started today really well! Bowl of low fat Greek yoghurt with fruit and (non-toasted) muesli and a coffee. Altogether just inside my breakfast calorie allowance of 300. I am on 1200 calories a day and have allocated 300 each for breakfast, lunch and dinner and 300 for extras such as drinks, snacks, desserts. Have fun, all!

    Well done, you!!

But as for me...I stuffed up!! I work at a place on Tuesdays where lunch is provided and due to the social atmosphere it's very hard for me not to eat with the group. So, that was about 800 cals! Then, I got home, was supper hungry and nommed a bowl of icecream as it's SO HOT HERE! Then I fell asleep due to the intense heat here and being very tired and when I woke up I was SO hungry so I got a chicken burger from the local place. Oh noes!

I think I'm going to go and stick my head in a blender.

Or, I could just write it off, say 'oh well' and do better tomorrow

    My goals are to...

    1. Eat as clean as possible (80/20)
    2. Drink more water
    3. Plan my meals and snacks
    4. Not buying extra snacks
One step at a time to goal not matter how long it takes
