Hi calorie counters

Hi everyone.
I haven't been on minis for a couple of years as I slimmed down from size 22 to size 8. I have since gained a load of weight and I am back counting calories using MFP.

Looking forward to completing the weight loss journey with support from the CC family and supporting fellow dieters.

Hi , Wow that's amazing 22 to 8 , I bet you looked and felt completely different, the good thing is you know you can lose weight, the biggest problem I felt I face when I first started dieting was that 'I couldn't ' lose weight but when I did it really helps to know, this maybe also why I have gained weight as I think oh i'll lose it again....never as easy 2nd, 3rd or 4th time around but here I am trying and so are you

I have been not dieting since August 13 and got on the scales to find I have gained 2 st 3lb.
Definitely know what you mean about thinking I can get round to losing weight. However I absolutely have to as I am living in leggings and a baggy dress and only one pair of work trousers fit!

Have been back on the diet logging on MFP just over 2 weeks and feeling better!

How long have you been dieting? Do you have a goal?
How is your week of cal counting going?

Amazing weight loss to get to a size 8, I'm jealous! How have you found getting back to calorie counting, have you lost in the last 2 week?
I've been calorie counting for a few weeks now & have lost 9lb, I've got another 2st 11 to go though

Well done in your 9lb. That's the hardest part I think having to get into it for the first couple of weeks until it becomes habit.

I'm not sure how much I lost the last two weeks- when I first got back on the diet I was too scared to weigh myself!

I have been good though so hoping to see a loss this week. What day do you weigh?

Do you use an app to log calories?

Keep at it and think of all the nice clothes we can wear in summer!

Hi guys, massive congrats on your amazing weight losses! I'm sure you will reach your goal. Remember, you had a lot more to lose last time so this one should be a piece of cake! (mmm. cake! Can you tell I miss cake!) haha. I aim for around 1,200 calories a day at the moment but have been reading a lot about BMR and TDEE but don't really understand it! I have 2stone 9lbs to lose! xxx

I have read all the stuff on BRM etc. I think you can over think dieting a bit and when I do I get obsessive. I just try to pick a number of calories and stick to it not focus on the science or maths involved! How long have you been calorie counting for?
I have gone over my calories today. I made a yummy tikka with rice and naan bread and served myself a huge portion!

How is everyone getting on? What day do you all weigh on?

Well weighed in this morning and I have lost 1.2lb. Bit disappointed as I was expecting more but its a healthy loss I guess so I ought to be pleased.
Anyone else weighing today? Good luck if so!

Hey! Congrats on your loss !! :) u can defo do it again fab! Im.here to lose 4st in total but aiming to have lost ATLEAST 2 stone by July 19th (have a holiday booked to go see famoly!) Can i ask how long iy took u to loozs last timw and what method u did? X

I know exactly what you mean! I don't understand it. So I'm sticking to 1,200 calories and it's working for now so as long as it's working I'll keep doing that. If I stop losing I may try and mix it up a bit. I've been calorie counting since end of Jan, start of feb.

Mmm. That sounds yummy and is making me hungry!!

I'm not getting on too badly actually. I like the face that if I really want something, like chocolate! I can have it. I just have to change what I'm going to have on the night to fit into my calorie allowance. I also find it much easier as I don't have to constantly make 2 different meals like I would if I was on slimming world or ww (my boyfriend is a farmer and is very meat and 2 veg. Loads of potatoes that kind of thing so there's no way he would eat the recipes from there. Haha) I just have a smaller portion of w/e I'm making. Or if he wants chips, I will put them in and have a jacket myself. I don't think I'd be any good at slimming world. I need boundaries and you know exactly where you're at with calorie counting.

I weigh in on a Monday. 2lb down today :) What about you? xx

Well im following the SW principles of eating their free foods and Healthy extras while tracking it on Myfitnesspal to ensure im not going over calorie intake too much and the fat level is supurisingly very low too..! So yes i am not having unlimited foods x but yes it seems to be working combining the both! Gone from 17st 7 to 15st 8lb as of today xx

Wow, you have done so well. I think that is a great idea. Now the weather is nice its given me a bit of a push to eat more fruit. Sw and cc together sounds good x

Yes ladies it really has proven to work well for me even if its not the traditional rule! Only thing is some ppl might get frustrated following sw principles AND tracking calories on mfp! All depends on what suits u guys n ur lifestyle xx as of today got prescribed Orlistat from the dr too! :D have a 4 weekly weigh in now X aiming to lose 2 st atleast by mid july !!

Anyways Ladies we can do this its all in our minds & in our control x =)
