Can anybody suggest what I should be doing on my exercise bike. I'm doing between 3-5 miles everyday but doesn't seem to be doing anything for my weight loss.

What should I be doing?

It really depends on what you are doing at the moment and what you want to achieve. Going at a slow pace on an exercise bike is like going for a walk - it definitely has benefits but the weight loss benefits aren't massive. Still very important to do.

If you want more dramatic results you probably want to try a programme or some interval training. If you have a smart phone, there are training apps for exercise bikes, and you can also google for some schedules or ideas...

Theres also a womens cycling magazine that usually has an indoor workout schedule in.

Dont forget, though, that weight loss is 80% diet, so tweaking your diet will have more results.

Hiit training is really good (high intensity interval training) this is when you go normal pace then have 30-60 seconds really fast or turn up the resistance for 30-60 seconds. I found this to be a really good fat burner.i have an exercise bike too but can only manage 5mins just now as it really hurts my butt! Lol

Going to build up my stamina on it but this really helps with your fitness and burning fat :)
 
I was doing 30 mins daily on mine now iv upped it to between 40 and 60 mins as I wasn't noticing much weight loss, I weigh Friday/ sat so ill let u know if upping the time has helped, I use a cushion underneath me on the bike doesn't stop the numbness completely but certainly helps :) xx
 
I seriously considered using a cushion when I first got mine too but I managed to abstain and luckily has got easier. I can still only do up to ten mins though but has only been two weeks.
