Hi guys :)

I'm new to this - hoping to join the minimins community & find lots of friendship / support from fellow dieters! Hopefully having some pals on here and seeing everyone else's progress will keep me more on track.

A little about me: I'm 20, only 5ft 2 and weigh 13 stone at the moment. [just weighed myself - nearly fainted] haha

I've put on about 2 stone in the last 2 years, and I really need to sort it out.

Not too long into the distant past (4 years ago) I weighed 8 stone. Hard to believe I know. I put on 3 stone in 2 years between the ages of 16 and 18, not sure why. Possibly because I passed my driving test so suddenly did drastically less exercise and drove everywhere! Oops.

I'm hating the way I look at the moment and I really want to lose some weight for my 21st birthday which is in August. Probs havent really left myself enough time to do anything drastic, but I still think 3 months is long enough to make a difference!!

Hopefully I'll lose at least 1.5 stone..
I'm tracking my diet through myfitnesspal and I also have a fitbit which I'm using to sync with it to see just how little exercise I actually do :sigh:

Calorie counting I think is the best way - I'm trying to stay to the targets on myfitness pal (50% carb, 20% protein, 30% fat) and I do believe this is the healthiest way - not synthetic diets like the shakes etc.

If anyone has any tips/advice that would be great ! Thanks guys :)

Welcome and good luck. Xxx

hi charley
hows it going x x

How did the first week go? I'm on my 14th day of calorie counting, lost 9 the first week and 1 the second... I exercised less, drank less water, and forgot to drink green tea most days but I have rigidly stuck to my calorie allowance. So apparently these things make a huge difference!

I always forget to drink enough water :(

That's ok, you really don't need to, as long as you drink about 1.5 litres of something a day, it doesn't need to be water. :) xx
