Hi everyone!

Lovely to join you all again! I'm by no means new to calorie counting or dieting for that matter!

But the last 2 years have been horrendous when it comes to diets - I've been losing 2lb, gaining 1, losing 3, gaining 2 etc. I don't think my heads been with it. Been blaming having 3 kids, getting married and whatever else. Which has got to stop!

I cut out all carbs (bad ones anyway like pasta, bread, sugars etc) last Friday and started at 17st 3lb I am currently at 16st 8lb! Lost 8lb by cutting out naughty carbs and calorie counting.

So here I am - I was too embarrassed to come here for a while as I had started way too many diaries. But I've been sticking to my routine for over a week - and when it comes to me - that's a huge achievement! It's all thanks to low carbing - I have no cravings, I only eat when I'm hungry and barely snack! Which feels wonderful - nice to be in control of food again!

So as well as low carbing, I am calorie counting (I use MFP) and I will also be zig zagging my calories :)

Anyway, just wanted to say I have a diary in the diary section - I have a lot to lose and I'm looking for buddies and chit chat to keep me distracted and determined until I get to my goal! :)

Been a terrible day food wise. Barely eaten anything and don't really want anything even though I know I HAVE to. Had 2 bits of bacon and scrambled egg for breakfast, a bit of greek yoghurt for early lunch and that's it!

Need to make myself eat to get to at least 1200 but don't fancy any more salads or meat or eggs :'(
 
So been doing it for 11 days and 10lb gone forever!

Been feeling good, don't really have much of an appetite but I put it down to the fact that it's so frigging got every single day!

I currently eat on average between 1200-1300 a day plus 2 x 40 min school runs a day.

Need to really up my calories but really struggling with that fact that I don't fancy anything!

How's everyone else doing?
 
Thanks, 10lbs in 11 days so a little less than a lb a day but yes! It's obviously my first 11 days so it will slow down but loving it at the moment :)

I think I'm doing well because I've cut all temptation out! Before I couldn't even stick to 2000 calories because eating rubbish made me crave more rubbish and it was just a vicious circle for me. Whereas now I really feel I can do this!

And secondly - I swear it's all in your head! If your heads in the right place and you think positive - then the weight will go down! X
 
My usual dinner :)

I usually through in there whatever veg/salad I have in the house plus then chicken or fish.

I am the same, when I am motivated I just don't need to go over my calories, today I have done two Leslie walks and walked to town and back so my net calories are 150 as I have burned off my salads, I now need to have something to eat as I have done so much exercise lol x

What exercise are you doing and how many calories are you trying to aim for each day x
 
I love Leslie's workouts! There's no excuse to not do them really!

I'm exactly the same, burned 426 calories with walking (school run twice a day plus had to walk to doctors) and now I'm left with 700 net calories.

I should eat more but don't really fancy much.

I'm fighting this constant battle between "I know because of my weight I should aim for 1700 calories but I really don't want to eat more than 1200"

So it varies. I zig zag a bit and try and eat around 1400 to meet a happy medium.

What about you?

I am the same, some days I can happily eat my calories back and others like today I just can't eat any more, my bet calories today were only 582 but I am not normally that low and have had a few days at 1400 as It has been too hot for Leslie walks :(

I generally have been aiming for 1200 calories and one Leslie walk a day. I then try to eat back half if what I burn, if I eat them all back it feels unproductive lol x

I think a happy medium is the key x
 
Thanks! My school runs are 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back in the morning and same again in the afternoon, and it's quite hilly so burns a nice amount!

Last day of school today though so I need to make sure I will keep the walking up during holidays!

Yes absolutely, I agree - a happy medium is the best way to go! X
 
Weighed in yesterday 16st 7lb - 11lb down :)

1274 calories consumed yesterday so pleased with myself.

Kids have been ill so haven't really got any exercise in so as long as I keep my food in control I will be ok!
 
Subscribing. Your doing great am also low carbing. I know what you mean about the cravings. X

Did my last weigh in for July - 16st 6lb so for the month of July I've lost 10lb - ecstatic!

August here I come!
 
Fantastic. I'm going on holiday in a few days when I get back I will be strictly doing low carb and calorie counting. I find like you carbs make me crave carbs. If I fill up with fats and protein then I'm ok. Once I have some bad carbs its all downhill from there. Also carbs make me bloat so I look 6 months pregnant.

Well done on your losses so far, your doing great!
I'm also calorie counting (started again today after being abit naughty for the last 2 weeks). I've lost about 3 stone in the last 18 months and have a fair few more to lose.

I'm not really low carbing, but as I do have a problem with some carbs - (I don't eat anything containing wheat) its something I'm quite interested in - problem is I don't eat meat or fish so what I can eat is already quite limited.

Thanks so much! Sorry I've been absent, the first week of holiday has been crazy busy and I've barely had a chance to do everything :-(

Will be back at it tomorrow when we have settled down!

Have you tried/do you like Quorn products?
 
Quorn products are great - I'm vegetarian so I eat them all the time. Used to love their sausages but can't eat those anymore as they contain wheat, but their mince makes great chilli or bolognaise :)
