SW and CC and exercise

Hi everyone,

I've been doing sw for ages now but only recently started exercising.

Over the last 3 weeks I've got these results.

+ 1.5
- 3
+ 2

Despite exercising and burning between 500-700 calories x5 days a week.

Yday I punched my numbers in to MFP and wih exercise my net calories were only 1000. That's too low right? Could this be the reason why I've put on weight? I was on plan 100%.

I'd definitely say your net calories are too low, Rozie. I know you're not calorie counting, but have you worked out what your BMR and TDEE are? You should really aim to have a net figure in between those two, otherwise, as you've surmised, your body will hang onto the weight as you're not eating enough. Also the exercise itself can lead to a gain on the scales, due to water retention, but that's not a real "fat gain" of course. :) xx

Hi Tracy :) I love your fountain of knowledge.

I've worked out BMR but not TDEE so I'll check that out. Thank you.

I've been exercising for a few weeks and it's so disheartening. But my body shape is changing and I'm getting fitter. Just wish the scales move in the right direction!
