Holiday of a Lifetime
I'm 5 stone overweight, this is my third attempt at CWP (the other two were successful, I just wasn't successful at keeping it off!). I'm going to the US in July (San Francisco, Yosemite, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and New York), so I've panicked, and contacted my CWP consultant of 7 years for help! Started SS 1 yesterday. Well, I say SS 1, but I have been having a small amount of skimmed milk in my coffee, as I just couldn't face it without. Now I'm worried I've ruined two days of hard work and, while I know I won't lose the 5 stone before I go, I need to lose as much as possible in the next 10 weeks! How much could I realistically expect to lose in that time? (I can't remember back to 2007 and 2009, when I did it last!). Thanks :-)

Personally I am allowing one month for each stone,,, thus 2.5 stones in 10 weeks.. but remember that it might be faster if you keep motivated and your body response was as before.. however I would expect a stone per month to avoid frustration,,

I think you can have milk on Ss+ so don't beat yourself up about it.
I agree with a stone a month. Some do more, but I'd never have that as an expectation.

Week 1 - 5: -22lbs and -15.5 inches
week 6 - 10: -11lbs and -12 inches
Week 11 - 15: -10.5lbs and -12.5 inches
Week 16: +1.5lbs. Went from SS to Step 3 in same week! Not surprised at the gain!
Week 17: -3.5lbs and -4 inches step 3!
Week 19: -1.5lbs and -2.5 inches
Week 20: -1.5lbs 11st 8 1lb off Barbados target
Total Loss: 48.5lbs and 46.5 inches

I checked for ketones at work this morning (I'm a nurse), and they're present and correct! I'll have to ask my consultant if she still has my old records, to see how much I lost in that time when I did it before. I went to see her a week before I started the diet and, after I'd made the most of Easter, I was 5lbs heavier on my scales at work, by the time I started on Wednesday. This morning, I was 5lbs lighter, but after my binge at the weekend, I don't know if that's weightloss, different scales, or what!!
Hope the holiday is amazing, cos the bank loan isn't! Our daughter leaves school this year, so it's the first time we've been able to go on hols outside of term time, and only our second holiday abroad (last one was Spain 2001). I'm so desperate to be able to hike through the Grand Canyon without puffing and panting!!
