I've found the perfect motivation for this diet!

Revenge. Well, not revenge. But the satisfaction of seeing someone see the new you for the first time. That's what I'm going to use as my motivation!

It's a really long story that I won't bore you with but basically there was the prospect of a guy on the horizon and now he's been a bit of a... pleb, and has gone all weird and is ignoring me. It is partly my own fault, but yeah, it's a long story! But basically here's my plan...

In a few more months, once I'm at goal (seeing as it's far too long to wait until I'm actually at goal) I'm going to buy myself a fabulous dress, killer heels, get all dressed up, with great hair, perfect make up and go out with a few girls and 'accidently' bump into him. And be all like oh hi, yeah, it's Caroline, you didn't recognise me, yeah I've changed a bit, yeah I do look great thanks, anyway, I don't have time to stand here and chit chat, bye, and saunter off back to my friends. Of course, this might not work. But the plan is to make him realise just what he could have had! lol And make him know just what he'll be missing out on. Yeah I might be a bit of a rusty old Cortina now, but I'm pretty sure there's a beautiful Porsche just waiting to get out! In fairness, I don't like Porsches. But you get what I mean!

So every time I'm tempted to cheat I'm going to try and think of how great that would feel! I can't wait, just wish it'd be tomorrow!!

Hun I know exactly what you mean! Hehe, it's surely satisfying enough; I can't wait to bump into old 'friends' once the weight has shifted. It'll be nice to actually lose over summer, rather than gain xx

    ooohh good plan hun!

I have an ex-best friend who is a size 10, and used to say in front of me that she felt so fat etc...used to drive me up the wall...well, i was supposed to be bridesmaid, but that was until she said she would have to tape my boobs down becuase they were bigger than hers....not spoken to her since...she also used to say "maybe your just meant to be this size" and then say that dieting was unhealthy....this is coming from the former anarexic...so....i would love to bump into her at a size 10 and show her exactly what size i'm MEANT to be....! Horrible *****!

Revenge is soo sweet so i will look forward to mine while you look forward to yours hun!!!!

That's awful Liz! It's a good thing you're no longer friends.
My motivation is posting pictures on facebook; I hate taking pictures so once I lose weight I'll probably turn into a camera whore, lol!

I guess they say revenge is a dish best served cold.... well I guess the next fews months of dieting will certainly give it time to cool down! While I would love to wait until I'm at goal, that's too long away, and I know I just won't bother. So I'm thinking like October time I might get to a 14, in which case, that's enough! I might even start looking for the outfit! lol

I can't believe your friend said and did that!!! That's terrible. You just don't expect things like that. Hmmm, maybe this year I should throw a huuuuuuge Christmas party and invite everyone, including all the people I want to be like ha, in your face to!

Monsoon Accessorize - Carmen Patch Dress

Monsoon Accessorize - Lina Halter Black Dress

I love them! I want them!! I show bump into him wearing all three of them!!! Though, not at once obviously, that would just be weird and I don't think it would make him think he'd missed out on anything lol

I'm so with you on that!!!!!!!!!!

I did LL 3 years ago and as soon as I started going out I got so much attention that an old fling (who wasn't that interested in the larger me) decided he wanted a relationship with me so for the first slim time in my life (and after 7 years pretty much single) I got together with him and that's where I've been the past 3 years. Unfortunately as he lives on take-out food and drinks like a fish (he's quite a big guy himself) which never bothered me I hasten to add, something to grab hold of, I put 3 stone of it back on and guess what he's just dumped me and is now seeing someone else (who's a lot slimmer than I now am).

So one of my big motivators is to avoid the 2 bars we both socialise in for the next 3 months until I am back to a size 10/12 and then go out looking fabulous and not give him a 2nd glance.

I am also going to make sure this time round I have some fun as the slim me and don't jump straight into a relaionship again with the first guy that'll have me!

So to all of out there that have some sort of revenge driving us on - GOOD LUCK and let's knock em dead!!!!!

    xx

I am Victoria, that's what he said to everyone, that I was bad.......he was so nasty, if he treated me better I wouldn't have left him for my wonderful man !

He was just a horrid person who looks down his nose at me, like it was a crime to dump him, he is married now as well with 2 kids.

I just want him to see me with my hubby looking gorgeous, when we split I was average size but since he has seen me as quite big and looked at me like he was mocking me which made me feel rubbish !

That's way harsh!! I bet you can't wait to show him again!

I thought that's what you'd meant, but that seems way too horrible for him to say!! I'm so glad that you left him and found someone nice!!

I knew someone who would dump their girlfriend as soon as she got over a certain weight. When she lost the extra pounds, he'd take her back. Unfortunately, she let him treat her that way! You show him what he's missing! Think some guys are threatened by women who want to be independent. Cheap shots like that show his failings - not yours.
