do you need medical clearance to start cd

Hi, i asked the dr a few months ago about vlcd and he said to give it a go. I hate making appts to ask them to sign forms. Can you self certify that you have no medical probs or do you have to get form signed.

As long as you have no clinical problems that are contraindicated, as long as you haven't got a BMI over 40 and as long as you are medication free (HRT/Pill permitting) then you can self certify.

Give your local CDC a ring and go through the medical form over the phone and they can advise if you need GP clearance or can simply sign a form and start.
