Unsure of what to do, Advice please?

I hope everyone has had a great weekend :)

I haven`t been around as I spent 2 days in London then have been very busy since I got home. THEN my laptop died a death  so I`m sneaking on here on my daughters notebook while she is sleeping ;)

Anyway, This morning I weighed in on my Wii Fit and it said I was 11st 10lbs (it actually told me off and said it was worried about my health as I had reached my goal too quickly and lost weight too quick) so that means I have 14lbs to reach my goal - AS LONG as my CDC matches my weigh in on Weds, Or hopefully even more!

I had already decided how long (max) I would do this diet for as I didn`t set myself a target as such and agreed with my CDC that I would take it week by week. The end date for me is up until August when I go away and will hopefully be near my goal weight of 10st 10lbs which I then would go back to what I was doing before of healthy low fat/low cal eating and lots of exercise in the hope that I can eventually get to 10st.

My dilemma is that I don`t want to be dieting when I go away on 7th August but I really didn`t want to change plans until I was at my target of 10st 10lbs. It`s just dawned on me that if I stay on 810 plan, I will still have to diet as I need to move up the plans to stop the weight from piling back on

I was thinking of moving up to the 1000 plan on Weds when I see my CDC BUT I am worried it will stop any weight loss I have as even on 810 plan (and SS for the last few days as I`ve been away) I still don`t lose a huge amount

I`m not where I want to be yet as I`m not even into the 10st bracket  and am a bit worried that moving up the plan now will make me gain a bit (before hopefully losing it again) and then I`ll be stuck with no more weight loss.

I really don`t know what to do  I don`t want to be dieting when I am away and never intended to stay on this diet any longer than the end of July.

For those who have been on the CD journey before, What do you think is the best thing to do? Do I continue with 810 plan for 1 more week, then do 1000 plan for 2 weeks then move up to 1200 plan the 4th and last week??

I have NO idea what you can/can`t eat on 1000/1200 plan

Any advice would be appreciated,

Thanks!

I have a client who was due to be very close to her goal just before she was going on a holiday. We decided to maximize weight loss as first priority, then move up a little quicker through some plans to get her used to more food before the holiday...and then reassess after the holiday.

She did 810 until 2 weeks before the hols, then 1 week of 1000 (which she lost weight on), then one week of 1200 (which she lost weight on). I did warn her that she might not lose much on these plans, but certainly wouldn't put on fat.

She returned from her hols, having gained loads, but again I warned her that this would be virtually all fluid...not to panic.... She didn't panic, though really wanted to go back to a much lower plan (just in case). We compromised ;) She went on 1000 as soon as she walked in the door, and had lost nearly all the excess within a few days.

On her weigh in, I put her back up to 1200 where she stayed for 2 weeks, followed by 1500 for two weeks.

She's very happy. At just at goal now.

She loved both the 1000 and the 1200 plans, so was very happy to do them again.

Though you didn't intend carrying on after the holidays, keep your mind open. It's just low calorie, low GI, nutritious stuff. Nothing 'weird' :D It's really helped her 'reset' again back into good foods after the hols and given her the focus back. The weekly weigh ins have kept her motivated.

She told me that if she had done her own thing after the holiday, it may not have gone so well.

That was her experience anyway.

Thankyou for the reply KD :)

So would you advise that I stay on 810 plan for the next two weeks, Then do 1 week of 1000 plan then do 1200 plan the week before I go away?

I don`t plan on a big blow out or eating rubbish whilst on holiday, I just want to be able to eat normally. I will still be sticking to low fat/low cal foods, Possibly even staying on 1200 plan depending on what it involves.

We are going camping (zZz) on a working farm and visiting friends & family, So making shakes would be awkward. Plus I don`t want the worry of if I`m eating properly - At home I weigh my food to make sure I`m eating the right amount so that I don`t go off plan.

I`m also a bit concerned that my 4 yr old is picking up on the fact that I`m not eating much and has started to "measure" how much milk she puts in her cup etc :sigh: :(

I`m nearly there, So can deal with having to lose that last bit slightly slower than I`d like. I`m expecting some sort of gain from eating again, But like you said it will hopefully go again as it won`t be fat.

Anyway, I`m rambling now lol

Thanks again for your advice

Xx

I was hoping with so many returners to CD that someone would be able to advise me on what you can and can`t eat on 1000 plan and 1200 plan :(

Hi, I am a returner but never made it to the 1000 stage, think i went straight to the 3000 :17729: Do you have the old style yellow booklet or the new ones, the old one is much better imo, everything is listed and some recipe ideas, maybe ask your cdc for 1 of these. Feel free to message me back if its a problem will try to help further

hi, i went on hols recently and moved to the 1000 plan the week before i went. i gained about 3-4 pounds this week as i was actually eating about 1400 a day. then i gained about 10lbs when i went off so i wished i worked up the plans sooner than i did. i had TERRIBLE bloating when i was on holiday and it felt such a shock to be eating. if i was you i would start working up soon.

Thankyou for the advice x I don`t have either booklets as I`m only coming to the end of my 6th week and this is my first time doing CD. I have been doing the 810 plan (didn`t do SS) so I only have the booklet to go with that. x

I`m so worried about bloating and ballooning  Especially when I introduce carbs as my body has a love/hate relationship with them :( I don`t want to be bloated and uncomfortable whilst on holiday. Specially as I`m camping in the middle of nowhere :sigh:

I have emailed my CDC as I`m due to go for my 6th WI this evening and explained everything and asking her advice. She said she would have a good think about it all today and we can discuss it tonight when I go to see her.

I think I have more or less made my mind up to start on 1000 plan from tomorrow onwards for 2 weeks, Then move up to 1200 plan for the following 2 weeks so that I should hopefully be able to move up to 1500 plan by the time I go away.

I`m so worried about gaining the weight back tho  I won`t be binging or eating crap, Just worried that I`ll gain purely because I`m eating more and from introducing carbs
 If I knew exactly what foods these plans involved I would panic so much, But this is my first time doing CD so I don`t know much :(

Thanks again both of you for the replies x

afraid i cant really offer any advice as at the start of my own CD journey myself just popped in to say hope it works out with your CDC x
