Struggling with shakes and soups - help

I am really struggling to down my shakes and soups as I really aren't keen on any flavour and today I have actually gagged on 3 out of 4 shakes, so much so I chucked them down the sink ie I have really only managed one shake today. I know that is not good.

What can I do to make them taste more palatable?

    Hi

Have you tried the tetra briks?

I too hated the shakes and soups, so completed the whole diet on chocolate tetras!! They are scrummy

Saying that, some people do say to stick with the shakes, apparently you can grow to love them!

Sorry you are finding it tough.

Try putting 1/2 a chocolate tetra in a mug & topping it up with hot water, I find that easier. Also if it gets to the evening & I've not had my packs I make a chocolate or vanilla pack into a muffin & then have it with a frozen chocolate tetra.

I found that i was not keen on any of the CD soups and only a couple of the shakes, the bars were a complete no no as i hated the texture and taste. But i did not mind only having chocolate and choc mint while i was doing CD. Also the longer you do the diet the more your tastebuds change and you may find that you like the flavours that orginially made you gag.
Hope things get better for you soon

Its definitely true that your taste changes with this diet so maybe have another try if you can face it!

I really like the mushroom soup for a few weeks and then suddenly it made me feel physically sick. I haven't had any soups for the past 4 weeks now.

During the first week I didnt like the strawberry or banana shakes but by the second week I really liked them - they tasted completely different! weird eh?

Like the others have said, its a good idea to try and make the muffins/ice-creams/crisps if you can as these change the taste abit too.

I always have my chocolate shake hot and it really doesnt taste much different to a low cal hot choc.

Hope things improve for you sweetie.

    xx

Have you tried the chocolate mint shake? Thats the only one im still having, its gorgeous. The soups made me feel ill, so much so that the spicy tomato still puts me off tomato soup now. In fact i had a cherry tomato last night and the smell reminded me of the soup! I think the soups are the worst as they seem to have bits in them which is rank! I went thru a phase of just having the chocolate shake hot with those pysillium husks in, quite yummy and filling!
Its time for some big changes!
