    Hunger On Cambridge Diet

    Hi there,

Please can anyone tell me whether you fel hungry on Cambridge? I'm really hopin gto do the diet, but at the moment it feels as though my eating is out of control and I'm scared I'll feel hungry and blow it.

We've not got lots of money so if I do the diet, I can't afford to mess it up. I've got to do it properly, but I'm rubbish at resisting hunger and I don't see how you could feel full when you're only having drinks in the day.

Sorry for asking if it's a silly question, I've tried to research. This site is great tho, there's loads of info on here!

Hi Emma - if you're doin Sole Source or the 790 plan....you should be in ketosis....and if that's the case....you won't feel hungry at all ! it is amazing !!!

first few days can be tough.....hunger, headachey BUT once ketosis kicks in....you'll be grand

PLUS - there's always Minimins for thise days you're feeling a little bit wobbly......psychological hunger can still be there but - come ketosis - you will not be physically hungry.....

keep us posted....and good luck !!

Thanks for your replies! Amazing that you don't feel hungry after 3 days.. I hope I can get to see a counsellor soon and get going!

    Diet: Cambridge Plan
I went low-carb for four full days prior to starting CD and never had the three days of hunger when I did SS!!

It is definitely the way to do it, as Cambridge suggest, to cut back on the carbs beforehand.

Hope all goes well for you.

Well for me SS first time round, as a guy i get to have 4 packs a day...when in ketosis it wasnt unusual for me to have got to 5.30 in theafternoon realising that I hadnt had any packs that day and hvig to cram them all in in the evening! I really didnt feel hungry!

    Current Mini Goals
    1. To stick to SS+ for a week.

If I'm 100% honest I could count the amount of times I've been hungry on 1 hand and still have fingers left over! It really is amazing!
I've been a bit hungry today & just realised that I only had 2 packs yesterday - so I can have 4 today!
Thats how good this diet is! If your the sort of person with willpower, who wants results and is prepared to make a FEW sacrifices to reach a long term goal, a few hunger pangs wont turn your head xxx

    Hi Emma,

I'd echo what's been said above I haven't been hungry on CD so far. I have experienced some cravings - eg. my partner cooked chilli this evening for himself & the kids, when I came through the door the smell was amazing. However, I don't feel hungry (not even peckish!) so it's fairly easy to resist the temptation (& I lurve chilli).

I mean it's not like I never eat again, is it? . It's just a case of 'not today' & when I do eat again I intend to carry on drinking the same amount of water as now & I will eat like a person who knows the art of portion control!!!

As for the money issue, well money is tight in my household too but I know that I was spending as much, if not more on food (family food + takeaways, lunches at work, chocolate etc) because of the large amounts I used to eat. I also think it helps me in a way as it gives me an added reason for staying on the straight & narrow.

Also as a newbie using this site for inspiration, I feel it really helps me to know there are others in the same boat as me and knowing that others have achieved their goals makes me feel like I could be like them and get to my goal weight. Give it a try, what have you got lose...except the weight!

Definately not hungry but you have to take that split second to listen to your body, sometimes your head will tell you you're hungry after seeing something that looks or smells nice but no, you won't be hungry, I'm always forgetting my packs because I'm off doing something more exciting. Good luck xx
