    Cambridge Diet USA

    Hi everyone

I've been lurking around a bit and really wish that I lived in the UK to try the Cambridge Diet UK but i'm in the states.

I've started researching the USA Cambridge Diet but not finding a lot of info on how similiar it is to the UK version.

Can any tell me if the ingredients are the same? Is it really the same diet that will produce results or is it more like Slim Fast?

I am suprise that its not regulated by Doctors like you have in the UK and you can buy the american Cambridge online and not have to go to a counselor - which I find really strange.

I'm sorry if this question has been repeated. I have tried searching the thread but when you type cambridge you get every post, haha!

I really would like to start this diet asap but would love to hear from others who have done the US version or knows where to get the information that I need.

thank you all in advance. Your stories are such an encouragement to others. i wish you all the best.

No is not the same Company nor the same diet.

The UK Cambridge Diet is available as Success Diet Dr Howard's Success Diet Weight Loss Plan and they still need a Counsellor.

The other 'cambridge usa' is not the same Company nor the same product having 54g of carbs per sachet as opposed to our 19g of carb.

Thanks for the information. I'm struggling to find Info on dr. howards success diet - the only info seems to be the company Website. Do you know of any success sites or forums where people have used this product or is it new to the US? sorry for all the questions.

Can you tell me where you found the ingredients for the cambridge sachets? I found one for the USA and it shows 15grams of carbs and that was for 1 serving of dutch chocolate. I would love to find a site that compares the US to the UK but not having much luck.

I appreciate all the info. I don't want to invest a lot of money into the wrong program. Congrats on your weight loss so far, that is amazing!

Yes, I thought that was interesting. Is that suggesting that it is made at the UK Cambridge Plant then?

The Dutch Chocolate is from the original 330 recipe - not the 440 Food for Life - the information is on the website. If you go to all of the three websites you can compare - that is what I did.

The cambridge usa try to make out that it is ours but it isn't.

That formula was altered by the US FDA donkeys years ago. The protein and carb content was increased dramatically.

The Success Diet launched in the USA in 1997.

Success Diet Shakes - UK Formulated - this was interesting as I thought it meant it was approved for US consumption but didn't realize that the Success Diet also Added the extra protein and extra carbs.

    thanks for the info.

thanks for the great information. I so agree abot the ''donkeys'' that have to regulate everything LOL

I'm hoping to find some forums now of ppl that have or are using the Dr. Howards Success diet as I would much rather invest that in that program.

Do you know if the two programs (cambridge/dr. howard) are made at the same place or own by the same company then? Just curious to see how Dr. Howard's Success program that says its UK formulated can sell their products in the US Market.

I think you are getting confused here!!

The US cambridge diet and Success Diet are NOT made at the same factory

The Success Diet IS made to the UK formulation!!! Manufactured in the USA. The USA plant was going to make some new bars for the UK market but they are having problems with the factory, apparently

Why don't you just do what everyone else does and get a CD Counsellor here?

The prices on the Success Diet site may seem cheaper but do remember that you pay high postage costs plu, maybe, customs charges too.

sorry to confuse you. I was asking if the Cambridge UK and the Success Diet was one in the same. Wondering if the products are made at the same plant, same ingredients, since it mentions UK formulated. I was just confused about that. so much reading I have been doing lately and trying to find what is the best one to go with.

You mentioned getting a CD Counselor - are you talking about a UK counselor? I thought they weren't allowed to sell overseas? I don't mind paying the price for Dr. Howards Success Diet as long as I know its the same as the UK Cambridge. I'll just have to find a counselor in my area.

I know the UK Cambridge diet very well and know that the success rate works. That is why I want a program that is similiar to the UK Version.

I appreciate your info. I've been reading this site for awhile now and love reading about everyones success. what a great site.

Hey Hostess Princess - since you are in the US I would go with the Success Diet. Sounds like that is the nearest to what we are using!! Good luck finding a counsellor near you!! Do post and let us know how you get on!

Sorry hadn't realised you were in the USA!!

The Success Diet is the Cambridge UK diet.

The Success Diet was formulated in the UK but is manufactured in the USA.

Do phone and have a chat with Rosemary Garrison.

Hey...I am originally from the U.S. and I am currently looking into ordering the sachets for my mother who still lives in the U.S.
I just want to say that I tried the "Cambridge USA" and it is TERRIBLE! Do not waste your money. I am in the process of ordering "sample" batch for my mum to see if she likes them and/or finds them acceptable. I will be glad to let you know how it goes...

Hiya, I've been lurking, watching this post and I've just had a gander at the Success diet website.

I must say, their products sound nice - especially the bars!! White Raspberry, Mint Chocolate, Hawaiian Passion - they sound YUMMY!!! I've very jealous - I've been moaning to my CDC for ages about them bringing in a Mint Chocolate bar - when do we get them over here?????

    Grrrrrr!
