From size 20/22 to size 16 in 84 days

I just want to celebrate that I am now a size 16. Clothes bought at Matalan, Primark and H&M in size 16 are fitting me (slight muffin top with H&M jeans but I love confidently knowing that will be gone in a few weeks).

Maybe I wouldn't fit a topshop 16 (if they go up to a 16) but I'm happy to be fitting into the ones I have and i don't care what anyone else might say. I am a 16 now.

Just wanted newbies to get an idea of what can be achieved. I still have about 3 and half stone to lose to reach my goal so I think I can safely say I'll be a size 12 at the end of this (I'm 5ft 10 and large build).

I am proving all the doubters wrong. I am causing all the people who were judging me according to their own inability to stick at anything, to realise they were WRONG and they were judging themselves when they were judging me.

In a short space of time I can know, I am a size 12 and I am look better than many of them. Woo hoo. Roll on February next year (when I think I'll be at goal)

    Well done that's fantastic!
I can't wait to get into a size 16 and I don't think it will be long as the 18's I'vejust got into are starting to feel a bit loose! I started out as as 20/22 too!
I'm really looking forward to the January sales this year!

whoops it is mind blowing how quickly a pair of trousers can suddenly become baggy after finally get into them comfortably - I found I'd be able to wear them for a couple of weeks and then the next time I tried them on I was swimming in them. Enjoy the Jan sales.

Guiness - I admire you - can't say I'm doing too much additional exercise right now ... less than when I first started. And I think I should as I need toning up. But I'll have an active holiday (in two weeks time) so maybe that will give me the push I need to get active again in the new year. When is the marathon?

    That's inspirational xxx
Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life.

    Wow, that's amazing!

What an inspirational post. I'm currently on day 43--so not long now. Like you, I started at size 22 or so. Amazing to think that in another 6 weeks I might fit into a size 16--wow!

    Can't wait...

Let us know how you go Lily - you might get there sooner than I did!
summayah - bless you. It is so frustrating that the larger sizes don't come at the rock bottom prices of primark and Tescos. I gave up wearing jeans or trousers and started wearing dresses with boots and tights because I didn't want to pay out for new bottoms when I was moving through the sizes so quickly.
