I was told by my CDC that some weeks I'll put weight on even if I follow to the letter, could be body in water retaintion ect
Don't worry too much
Will balance out next week
It's not a question of trying harder, sometimes that are larger forces at work. I bet you have a big loss this week. Don't be disheartened, you did great sticking to it when ill anyway.

The clue to why is in "haven't been well".Whenever we're poorly the body holds on to more water - it makes it easier for the body to fight infection. It'll come off again really soon. As Chlo says, no need to try harder.
