10 weeks on SS, what can I expect to lose?

I've got until (roughly) May 1st before I'll need to quit and go it alone. My hours at work will be reduced because I'll be a student and with other financial commitments, I simply won't be able to keep the plan up.

I weighed 17st5 when I started on Feb 4th and have dropped down to 16st0 in the last 17 days. 90% of my days have been SS but a couple of nights I've had chicken with broccoli, effectively switching to SS+ then back again to SS.

Now I know nobody will be able to tell me what I'll lose if I stay on SS with occasional SS+ for the next 10 weeks - I appreciate it depends on a number of factors and the guide is for a loss of 1st each month - but I'm really speaking to people who've been down a similar path and could tell me how it went for them.

If I could get down to 13st by the time I quit, I'd be delighted. I'm tall, so i wouldn't be too far from my ultimate goal by then, which I'm sure I could do alone.

Would a CDC even allow someone to be on SS then suddenly quit? I know they can't stop you, but I expect they want you to go through the Steps under all circumstances.

Any input would be great, whether it's personal experience or knowledge of the plan.

    Thanks

You may get close - I'd gauge you could lose 2 and a half stones to three stones in that time. But if you come straight off Cambridge you're quite likely to regain half a stone really quickly unless you stay low carb. That might be easier said than done on a tight budget.

Are you sure you don't spend more than £42 a week on food? Make sure you aren't kidding yourself that it's cheaper to stop doing Cambridge. Alternatively, look into doing Slim and Save, which is another VLCD but cheaper.

Lost 5 and a half stones between October 2007 and April 2008 (doing Cambridge Diet). Unfortunately, many of the f*@!*#! found me again.

Thanks for the info, appreciate your input.

Was that on SS? Or were you using the steps?

That was my worry - that I'd need to carb control for some time after I left Cambridge. My CDC will be here tomorrow for my weigh in, so I'll ask him then, but I'm sure he'll want to gradually increase things, as per the plan, to stop any weight gain afterwards.

I did a mock food shop online a few nights ago to see what the cost would be like post-Cambridge and over the course of a month, it's definitely less, otherwise I'd stick with Cambridge for the foreseeable. With two of us in the house, "normal" food will be more affordable.

I'll look into Slim & Save - thanks.
