    Planned surgery

Reading the diet book I have to increase my calories to 1200 a week before my planned surgery. I'm having a tendon in my shoulder repaired and decompression of the shoulder. How long do I have to stop the diet for or can I continue with 1200 calories for a few weeks whilst recooperating?

    Hi Delvsey

You should be on 1200 (step 4) for at least 2 weeks prior to your surgery. The general rule following surgery is that you can't follow any prorgramme for 12 weeks. I know that sounds frustrating but your general health must always come before dieting. x

Lost 5 and a half stones between October 2007 and April 2008 (doing Cambridge Diet). Unfortunately, many of the f*@!*#! found me again.
